Here’s what happened the last time a Trudeau slapped an export tax on Alberta Energy:
• unemployment quadrupled from 3.7% to 12.4% as thousands lost their jobs
• home values plummeted 30% and thousands lost their homes
• bankruptcies rose by over 150%
• tens of thousands left the province plunging us into a multi-year recession
• cost to Alberta was between $50-$100 Billion
Our government is not going to sell out Albertans to another Trudeau export tax on energy. His Dad crushed the lives of thousands in our province…we won’t let his son do it to our people again. Never.
As an Ontarian, I can support Danielle’s position.
I want a united Canada, and it’s frustrating that we’ve reached this point.
However, just because Danielle didn’t align with our other leaders doesn’t mean she’s wrong or a traitor.
She’s doing what she was elected to do: protect Albertans.
How can we be surprised or upset she made these decisions?
Bloc leader Yves-François Blanchet just said what every Canadian has been saying since the announcement of this GST holiday. No one wants it. The best Christmas gift Canadian would benefit from would be an election.
Full Statement on Alberta Opposing Further Asylum Relocation to Alberta:
Alberta’s government is opposed to the Federal Government’s plan to relocate tens of thousands of asylum claimants to Alberta, especially without any financial assistance to support the province in doing so.
Alberta has always welcomed newcomers who possess our shared values - and we will continue to do so.
However, last year alone, an all time record of over 200,000 people moved to Alberta. That’s like adding two new Red Deer size cities in just one year.
Although Alberta represents only 11.8% of the Canadian population, we are currently supporting approximately 22% (over 70,000) of Ukrainian evacuees who arrived in Canada.
Section 95 of the constitution is clear - immigration is an area of shared authority between the federal government and the provinces. Yet, the Trudeau Government’s unrestrained open border policies permitting well over a million newcomers each year into Canada is causing significant challenges, and it’s simply not sustainable.
Excessive levels of immigration to this province is increasing the cost of living and strains public services for everyone.
We are informing the Government of Canada that until further notice, Alberta is not open to having these additional asylum seekers settled in our province.
We simply cannot afford it.
These are 2 boxers both biological men Lin Yu Ting Featherweight & Imane Khelife Welterweight participating with women at the #ParisOlympics2024 . Both of them were banned by
@IBA_Boxinas they failed to meet eligibility criteria for participating with women. However in a shocking move the @iocmedia& @Olympics allowed them to participate. This is not only unethical but can be dangerous as it can cause physical harm to female boxers. Urge all nations to pull their boxers out of the events that these 2 boxers are participating to maintain ethics of the games & Boxing as a sport #Paris2024📷 #OlympicGames📷 #OlympicGamesParis2024 #Boxing📷 #ImaneKhelif #LinYuTing #Shame PLS SHARE FOR MAX REACH
@SuburbanPolly Good for Pierre! I like him better already! Pride has become a disgusting month of open depravity. I think many gays are actually ashamed of it!
San Francisco pride was the most shocking and disturbing event that I’ve ever witnessed.
Shame on every parent who brought their child to this event and shame on the city for allowing what could only be described as a giant public orgy.
Congratulations @AMFANational! Looks like you got what you wanted. Thanks to all of us, passengers, impacted by your very conveniently timed strike! Kudos!
WestJet cancellations continue after mechanics' strike ends, frustrating and confusing travellers https://t.co/7mBbGH7rHV
The Union representing Westjet's mechanics decided to give everyone, including thousands of Canadians, a middle finger right before Canada Day long weekend and go on strike.
Industries are being destroyed by Unions and greed and consumers pay for it with higher costs for products and services.
It's illogical to run a country, an economy or a business where a group can just stop everything and hold progress hostage until they shake you for more money supported by government and laws.
Things have to change asap.
