I’ll be honest wasn’t gonna watch the Cowboys Netflix series bc I’ve heard so many of these stories growing up here and covering this team half of my professional career BUT some observations.
1) I still don’t get why but I can better understand why Jerry Jones wanted to be GM. Essentially: You make that large of an investment of your family’s future you don’t put it in the hands of others.
2) you better understand why he has the stomach for ambiguity given how awful they were that first season and the feedback…it ultimately led to success. Admittedly it’s one he clings too even though the rules of the game have changed so much since then.
3) he was very cunning in that Walker deal. Too bad he hasn’t finessed a trade like that since
4) there is Jerry truth and everyone else’s truth as evidenced by he and Jimmy, who TO THIS DAY, disagree on who actually came up w the Herschel move.
5) enjoying see old faces, coaches, Valley Ranch and media personalities that made me fall in love with the game.
6) Irv and Aikman Jimmy were built different and in different ways. True lightning in a bottle.

It’s well written and produced. There is a Pony Excess vibe.

Most of you on my timeline will likely hate watch but it won’t be time you wish you had back. Irv is predictably great and Aikman file footage as a child in Oklahoma is fun.

We won against Engoron in the Appeals Court, knocking out a big part of the case, but he then refused to accept their decision.
