The Egyptian Army’s Spokesperson issued a short statement on the incident of IDF tank shooting on an Egyptian site near Kerem Shalom crossing:

“During the ongoing clashes in the Gaza Strip on Sunday, 22/10/2023, one of the Egyptian border control towers was hit by a shrapnel from an Israeli tank by mistake, which resulted in minor injuries to some border control soldiers.
