“[Zionism] is not an intrinsically, inherently racist endeavour.”
Green Party leader Zack Polanski’s promotion of the idea that Zionism is racism is “dangerous”, and the party is at risk of being “sabotaged”, says former Green Party deputy leader Shahrar Ali.

"Ellie we're not going to get over this for a very long time, if ever"
Conservative peer Lord Finkelstein tells Green MP Ellie Chowns her party has "betrayed" British Jews after its members adopted a motion declaring Zionism a form of racism.

We shouldn’t be shying away from saying that the bigotry/antisemitism/ racism deeply embedded in the Pro-Palestine movement is thinly disguised.
Listen to the words of @matthewsyed.
Asking Jews to pass a purity test and renounce self-determination according to a perverse interpretation arbitrarily applied, isn't just an extreme position, it’s a racist one.
That’s before we consider the Green party is now backing violent dismantling of Israel.
Tragicomic that there are thousands of people in the Greens who spent 2015-19 in Labour. They’ve had ~7yrs to think about what went wrong, about strategy, tactics, messaging, political priorities & constructing/maintaining different voter coalitions.
And the conclusion they’ve drawn is: “This time let’s do MORE very public, divisive, pointless and esoteric arguments about Zionism & Jews & anti-Semitism that have 0 impact on anything happening in the Middle East👍”.
It actually was the Jewish community of the Old City that was driven out of its ancient home in May 1948. This is the pathetic level of historical ignorance ( registered with such certainty) colouring the Green vote today.
Several people across the Labour Party have reached put to me in recent weeks, worried nobody is thinking about Tories.
So Ive written a piece for @ArguablyMag that captures just why I think that is dangerous.
