although women like to use men as the scapegoat for the patriarchy, we have to be realistic and hold ourselves accountable as well. how many beauty comparison trends do we participate in on tiktok? this is just one example of MANY of the embarrassing things we compete over. it's foolish and childish. this is why men laugh at us and don't take us seriously. you will not see men hopping on trends like this. yet, us women, will hop on ANY beauty comparison trend on tiktok. constantly competing with each other over looks. we uphold this patriarchy system just as much and we are also to blame for it's ongoing existence. and yes it really is that deep. it's actually way deeper than how I am explaining it rn and I have much more to say but I won't
