Your period is the most honest report card your body will ever give you๐ซต๐พ.
Heavy bleeding tells you estrogen is dominant.
Passing clots tells you your blood is stagnant and your liver is congested.
Pain tells you inflammation is high.
A long period tells you your uterine lining is overgrown because your hormones are not regulating properly.
Brown spotting before or after tells you your body is not fully clearing old blood and that your liver is overburdened.
Every single symptom is a message.
Your body is communicating with you, the question is whether you are listening.๐ค๐พ
This life is funny. It is good to put privilege into context.
Some of you have never entered Danfo before because your parents' driver drive you around, while others have to jump buses with their parents and even lap their younger one so the fare would suffice.
Some of you don't know what it means for school fees to not be paid. You just find yourself going to school whenever school resumes and then vacation to London in summer. Others have to be embarrassed in the presence of their friends and watch their parents continually beg the principal for grace time.
Se of you know where your future is headed even in SS1. Your parents have told you that you're going to Covenant for your first degree, after which you get a Masters at the London School of Economics. Others have to first focus on the cheapest school and catchment area to increase their chances of admission and actually staying in school.
Some of you get up to N300k monthly as allowance while other get N20k and "remember the child of whom you are, remember the home you come from."
Some of you can afford to fail. There is financial might to back you up. If you fail, you try again. You can even try something else, and it would be funded. Others cannot afford to fail. They need to succeed at all cost to break the cycle of poverty. They also have siblings looking up to them because investment in you means taking over your parents' responsibility to help with your siblings' welfare.
Privileges blinds because it is the nature of privileges to blind.
- Chimamanda Adichie
You'll not understand poverty if you've never lived it.

Last night, I saw a lady in my neighbourhood returning from work around 9pm thereabout, because it was the second half of Crystal Palace and N.Forest match. She looked exhausted. I greeted her and pointed out how exhausted she looked. She responded graciously and admitted she was indeed exhausted.
She is not the point of the writing.
I looked at her and imagine that is the live for many people toiling through 9 - 5. Leave the home early for work, get to office to face office politics, office targets, and toxic bosses. The world can be cruel like that. Now, here is where I'm driving at...
Imagine going through that daily and home is nothing to write home about. How can you face exhaustion and abuse at work to come and face exhaustion and abuse at home? One thing I've done for myself is to ensure that home is my safest and happy place. No matter what happens outside, I always look forward to home. I've extended it to my relationship - I don't know what you faced outside, but once you're here, I expect the weight to drop. Whether we are dating, casual intimacy, friends, I always ensure that you feel at home in a sense of what home should be.
Please choose better for yourself. There is no fun in toxicity, however you colour it. You should always look forward to going home because home should bring you peace and relieve you of the burden of the world. In the end, we accept the love we think we deserve.
We're looking for my Friend's kid sister since yesterday afternoon, she was to go from Ajah to Epe to stay with a family friend for her Jamb Exam this morning 9am.
Her last statement was "Iโm scared I Tink I enter rong car my eyes is itchy e be like I want to slip"
Pls Retweet!
