He is Arnab Goswami, a right-wing news anchor.
He was born into a Brahmin family in Guwahati, Assam.
His father, Manoranjan Goswami, retired as a colonel from the Indian Army and later contested elections from Guwahati on a BJP ticket.
Arnab has spent his entire journalism career serving the right wing and BJP.
Arnab got famous for barking like a dog on TV debates.
After working with The Telegraph, NDTV, Times Now, and several other media outlets, he launched his own right-wing propaganda channel, Republic TV.
Earlier, he was allegedly the blue-eyed boy of the BJP, In other words he was favourite attack dog of BJP as the party believed he was best suited for their propaganda.
Seeing his success and closeness to the ruling government, other journalists became jealous.
First, one of Arnab’s employees left Republic TV, started his own channel, and later joined the BJP as a spokesperson.
Later, many small journalists like Susu Ghinha, Gullu, Tihadi, Suck Zaroor, CT, AOK, Chamchi RL, Sahul Kamal, etc., began aggressively pushing government propaganda.
They started doing better than Arnab at much cheaper price and no ego issues and he gradually became of no use to the ruling government.
In other words those cheap journalists did the same job with more venom and fewer ego issues.
His channel’s TRP went down, and people started watching other propaganda journalists instead.
Even one of his juniors got a ₹15-crore package from a government news channel, which really hurt Arnab.
The final nail in the coffin was that he didn’t get the Putin interview, Two nobodies got it instead.
That was the day Arnab decided to target the government. He is now aggressively targeting the government and other propaganda journalists.
He has been particularly aggressive toward the ₹15-crore journalist.
Don’t mistake wounded ego for principles.
Soon, he will be managed, and all of this will be stopped.
Till then, enjoy it while it lasts.
