@CelestionFox No worries, my game bugs out on this map with this particular weather. I’m not sure why. It also affects my kill sounds (you can’t hear the ding when I get kills).
It’s really odd. I stream everyday and shadows are always on! Not looking for an unfair advantage on anyone :)
@TheRotorBird Rotor they will never know what it’s like to have to stay at 20-30 AGL an entire game because I’m being locked by every Kodiak they had available at the dealership.
If you want to balance something, you gotta at least have some time on it so you understand how it’s played.
I see a lot of pilots complaining about the same issues in WarDogs lately. The documented and undocumented nerfs, AA, infantry fire, profitability.
But one thing I don’t see discussed nearly enough is the inconsistency of the environment across different maps.
You can fly straight through certain objects at high speeds without an issue, but try flying through those exact same objects at a slower speed and you’re instantly destroyed. There’s no consistency, and it makes flying unnecessarily frustrating when you can’t reliably predict what will or won’t destroy your helicopter.
And then there’s the MAAWS.
This has to be one of the easiest launchers to use in all of gaming. The projectile velocity is insane, it practically feels like hitscan, and there’s virtually no visible smoke trail to help pilots react or identify where the shot came from.
On top of all that, it’s incredibly cheap.
I’m all for infantry having effective ways to counter helicopters. That’s part of what makes WarDogs great. But there needs to be a reasonable balance between effectiveness, cost, and the skill required to use these weapons.
Right now, it feels like pilots are dealing with more and more disadvantages while the tools used to counter them are becoming increasingly forgiving.
