@SwitchRL@GrZero0@WaytonPilkin@HazzaProd Toxic side of me thinks it's because the paris major is right around the corner and their observers need better tools on lan LMAO
@SwitchRL@GrZero0@WaytonPilkin@HazzaProd discard this conversation, i love psyonix now. No fucking shot they actually gave bakkes a big bag of money to continue the project.
Ultra rare Psyonix W, hope for more to come
We're back! BakkesMod has been updated to work on the newest version of Rocket League (non-EAC mode only). Psyonix has reached out and offered their support, and together we've found a way for the BM team to sustainably continue providing updates in the future.
@AztroPhysics@coachgrosloup holy thank you a lot for this rundown, very interesting to hear all of that.
There is a lot of movement at bringing bakkesmod back to live by the community so I believe we will be saved. Thank god this community got some incredible talents who carry this dead ass game
@AztroPhysics@coachgrosloup if you don't mind can you share how exactly bakkesmod impacted your workflow as a designer? I'm just little bit out of touch. The only thing i can think of is itemmod stuff
During the chaos surrounding new anti-cheat and the end of Bakkesmod - we are trying our best to lighten the mood with some fresh moments from the team
please enjoy or else... πͺ
Although we knew it was coming to an end in online play, its sad to hear about @BakkesMod. This program literally made Rocket League the most dynamic editing tool out there for gaming in my opinion. Every other replay based game that ive edited on was never a match for it.
@SwitchRL@GrZero0@WaytonPilkin@HazzaProd What i'm afraid of is that it's gonna be a small improvement similar to like VAC in CS2. Without full kernel anti-cheat there will be ways to bypass all of this and if within few months all of the cheats and bots are back - we lost all for nothing. I hope that doesn't happen lmao
@SwitchRL@GrZero0@WaytonPilkin@HazzaProd With that I agree. We all were expecting a chill transition to the offline mode to do our business but instead we got full exit from bakkes which none of us were ready for.
@SwitchRL@GrZero0@WaytonPilkin i can speak only on behalf of editors but yeah casters seem to be hit just as hard with their tools removed that allowed to switch to custom cameras, fully adjust speed, acceleration and other stuff. You better talk to someone like @HazzaProd about that
@SwitchRL@GrZero0 These tools allow editors to get unlimited creativity that you see in org roster announcement, salt mine trailers and stuff like documentaries from @WaytonPilkin. Almost all content with a bit or prod-value had these tools used to make more engaging content.
