A very sad day saying goodbye to our very much loved & respected Finlay 🏰💙
You were the heart beat of everything Merchiston & simply an amazing bloke 🥰
Rev Blair & our Merchiston community will support everyone through these very difficult times 🤝
Gone but not forgotten🌟
That’s a wrap on the 2023/2024 school year! 🎬
Together we have celebrated some remarkable sporting performances, held several spectacular events, risen to new challenges, worked tremendously hard and made incredible memories that we will cherish forever ✨
End of term party for our Centre boys this morning. Thank you so much for all our delicious contributions from parents. #friendship#endofterm#discovermerchiston

Our P4-L4 & students from Merchiston celebrated the Olympic by hosting our own games. It was a day filled with Olympic education and the opportunity to try new sports.

Memories from more events from this exciting week - Tuesday’s Olympics at @stgeorgesedin, which saw all of Pringle take part in events such as Judo, Skating, Rowing, Ping Pong and Rugby, amongst others.
A week of incredible trips for the Centre boys - Land, Sea and Air was a 3-day experience, full of fun, learning, friendships and celebrating the end of the year. The boys went to @NtlMuseumsScot Museum of Rural Life and Museum of Flight and @PEWatersports. @MerchiNews
Yesterday was our Whole School Sports Day, combining both Juniors and Seniors for the first time. We dodged the rain (mostly) and had a great afternoon representing our clans 🏆. Well done to all the boys that took to the field or track, and for giving it your all 👏🏅
🎭 Our Juniors were performing their Drama Showcase for their parents this morning to show off the skills they have been working on in their Drama lessons and activities. They included Jack & the Beanstalk and The Twits 🎭
🌳Our First Form had great fun exploring our new Forest Nursery & Junior School environment. They used the outside stage to perform Jack & the Beanstalk as well as some poetry recitals.🎭 #OutsideLearning
The Merchiston campus is teeming with interesting historical artefacts and Rev. Blair is THE man to share these finds with our pupils… he has a wealth of knowledge about the history of the campus and pupils and is a favourite of the Centre boys. #welovelearning@MerchiNews
Today was the trial of Matthew Weeks. Despite the original verdict of guilty in 1844, today’s jury (Mrs Haston’s class) found him to be innocent. This is a favourite part of our Classic Narrative and Oral Poetry English unit in First Form @MerchiAcademic@MerchiNews
✨We were so lucky to capture the stunning Northern Lights from the Merchiston campus over the weekend 😍 Check out some of these beautiful pictures that our team captured 😍 #NorthernLights#Edinburgh#Scotland#Merchiston

We were honoured to welcome General Randy George, Chief of Staff of the US Army, earlier this morning to hold the 78th Kermit Roosevelt Lecture!
A huge thanks to General George for a memory we will all cherish forever.
Edinburgh roundup! 🏴 I was so lucky to spend 2 sunny days here with @edinburghbookshop & @waterstonesedin on the Chaos Trials tour! Thank you to the schools I visited - ESMS, Edinburgh Academy, Merchiston & George Watson—and the wonderful booksellers! A magical start to May! 💛
We were delighted to welcome @annabelwriter to Merchiston on Wednesday. Ms Steadman is the best-selling author of the #Skandar series. The boys were so excited to talk to her and had lots of questions. @MerchiLibrary - Thank you to Ms Gibb for organising. #reading#inspiration
