We are having an engagement with Energy Service Companies implementing the @UECCC1 Results Based Financing Facility under the Electricity Access Scale Up Project #EASP. The session is aimed at providing program updates; performance, observations, operational controls, and also receive feedback from the ESCOs, among others.

In every conversation under the trees, in every home we step into, and in every community we engage, we are reminded why this work matters. 💜
Because every girl deserves to be seen, heard and empowered to unlock her potential. ✨

The #EcoJuaSmartBag is more than a bag its dignity, confidence, and support for a girl’s future. 💜
Together with @smartgirlsug, we distributed 20 EcoJua SmartBags containing reusable pads, solar bulbs, and essential supplies to help girls stay in school with confidence.
Imagine sitting in a P.7 classroom, wearing four layers of clothes just to feel safe. 💔
At St. Daniel Komboni Primary School, this has been the reality for many girls navigating “menstrual stress” with whatever they can find.
Through the @mtnfoundationug’s #MTNChangeMakers initiative, we are supporting the @karagirlug to drive industrial skilling, enable local production of reusable sanitary pads, and create economic opportunities for Karamoja.
We are not just addressing a need, we are breaking stigma and building confidence. Because every girl deserves to stay in school and reach her full potential.

Through the Electricity Access Scale-up Project (EASP), we continue to advance the renewable energy agenda by strengthening partnerships that promote sustainable energy solutions across Uganda.
Last month, we partnered with @unacc_ug to support it’s members’ participation in the Eastern Agricultural Show/Exhibition held in Soroti City (21st–24th March 2026).
We had over 15 companies affiliated to UNACC and the EASP exhibiting at the show.
Paul Palagen, a Community Engagement Officer at Karin, highlights how access to hot water has improved maternal care at their facility.
“At the beginning, we were having challenges… mothers coming for delivery were not accessing hot water, and even after delivery it was difficult to get it within the required time.”
Through the RBF programme implemented by Uganda Energy Credit Capitalisation Company, the facility received a water heating solution, addressing a critical gap in service delivery.
“But now that the water heater is there, it is a benefit to us and also to the community around us.”
He notes that mothers are now receiving better care, with reliable access to hot water during and after delivery.
Daniel Muloki, a solar beneficiary from Nsuube along Jinja–Kamuli Road, is now able to run his business reliably thanks to access to solar energy. Previously affected by power outages, his operations would often be disrupted.
Through the RBF programme, he acquired a solar system from D’Light Solar at a 60% subsidy, with the added flexibility of paying in convenient installments.
Today, his business runs smoothly regardless of grid power availability, ensuring continuity and improved productivity.
He expresses his sincere appreciation to D’Light Solar and UECCC for making solar energy affordable and accessible, noting that the support has had a direct impact on the growth of his business.
A special note of appreciation from UNACC and all Exhibitors to the UECCC Team for the invaluable support offered to UNACC to participate in the Soroti Agricultural Show 2026. We were able to create awareness on clean cooking technologies and promote the UECCC subsidy.
