The confrontation escalated rapidly after Passaris accused Kihara of political incitement related to the 2007 post-election violence in Naivasha.

Kenya Airports Authority officials are now stealing from tourists. After highlighting my experience of refusing to pay a bribe to an officer called Maina at the JKIA parking area, some tourists have also come forward to expose KAA officers for allegedly accessing their purse and stealing over $5,000. In this video, KAA officers who are mandated to protect, secure, and guide travellers are now going as far as stealing from tourists and philanthropists.

What’s most unfortunate is that when JKIA police were called to intervene, they harassed the tourists and told them to go and report the matter to another police station or go to the Inspector General of Police. The tourists were also reportedly denied access to CCTV footage because the KAA officials knew it could expose what had happened.

JKIA has become a safe haven for corrupt officials, especially in the parking area. It is even alleged that some top KAA officials, including the Chairperson & CEO are involved/Aware. These are not just allegations, but real experience that I witnessed first hand on Monday evening. This country is rotten to the core.

The Owl Who Knew the Desert

A Salty Desert Dawg Campfire Tale in Five Nights

"Come closer, young pups."

The old Desert Dawg tossed another stick onto the fire. Sparks danced up toward the stars like tiny glowing birds.

"Tonight I'm going to tell you about someone very old."

The pups looked around.

"A coyote?" one whispered.

The old dog smiled.

"No."

"A rattlesnake?"

"No."

"A mountain lion?"

The old dog pointed toward the dark hills.

"Older than all of them."

Just then...

Hoo... hoo...

Every pup froze.

"The owl," whispered the smallest Chihuahua.

The old dog tipped his hat.

"That's right."

"Now remember this, pups. Every family in the desert tells owl stories a little differently. Some say Owl is a wise teacher. Some say Owl brings warnings. Some say Owl guards old secrets. None of those stories are wrong. The desert is a big place, and it has room for many stories."

The pups nodded.

"Ready?"

The fire cracked.

The stars leaned closer.

And the owl called again.

Night One — The First Hoot

Sometimes the first lesson is simply paying attention.

A young traveler hears an owl while crossing the desert.

He wants answers.

Instead, the old Desert Dawg teaches him something surprising:

"Before you ask what it means...

...first notice what is happening around you."
