🚨WE ARE DEPLOYING 🚨
Winter Storm Fern has blanketed dozens of states in snow and ice. In Nashville, more than 170,000 people are without power. Communities across Mississippi are facing a severe ice storm—entire cities without electricity, no timeline for restoration, and dangerously cold temperatures. Schools are closed. Heat is gone. Families are running out of options.
Mercy Chefs is deploying to Nashville, TN, through our local Community Kitchen to provide hot meals to neighbors without heat or power. A second team is moving into Mississippi to begin meal service for communities in urgent need.
As we move forward to feed those in crisis, we need your support. Click the link in our bio to give and send a hot meal to someone today. ❤️

There’ll be prizes, plenty of laughs and more — all for an incredible cause. Let’s come together and make a difference for families who need it most. Learn more here https://t.co/qgiPYic5WS and sign up to be reminded before we go live!
The damage in Jamaica following Hurricane Melissa is devastating. Entire communities are flattened, families are displaced, and many remain without power or access to basic resources.
Today, we are beginning to serve hot meals to those in Black River, Jamaica, who have lost everything and desperately need support. #Jamaica #HurricaneMelissa
🚨 WE ARE DEPLOYING 🚨
Hurricane Melissa hit Jamaica as one of the strongest Atlantic hurricanes on record, before barreling through the rest of the Caribbean, claiming over 30 lives and leaving almost entire islands without power.
Mercy Chefs' team members and partners are en route to Jamaica to begin immediately feeding those who have lost everything. The rest of our team will be taking a multi-day journey from Florida to Jamaica aboard a ship, bringing much-needed groceries and supplies. Your support is critical as we go forward in feeding body and soul.

Hurricane Melissa made historic landfall in Jamaica as a Category 5 storm, wreaking havoc, and damaging homes, hospitals, and schools.
Our team and partners are sheltering in place across the Caribbean as Melissa approaches Cuba as a Category 4 storm.
When it’s safe to travel, we’ll be ready to respond immediately—with a ship already stationed in Puerto Rico to deliver tons of food and supplies to families in Jamaica.
Thank you for standing with us and sending us to feed body and soul. ❤️#MercyChefs #DisasterRelief #hurricanemelissa #cuba #jamaica
Please join us in praying for those in the path of Hurricane Melissa, especially our friends in Jamaica, who are experiencing the direct impact of the Category 5 storm right now. ❤️🙏
Hurricane Melissa is expected to be the strongest hurricane on record to directly hit the Caribbean nation. As the storm approaches landfall, Mercy Chefs is on standby, monitoring the storm and preparing teams to respond. Now is the time to pray.

My friends at @MercyChefs are still feeding people in western NC after Hurricane Helene. @KathyPeek7 and our friends from SC stopped by to see their operation and they needed a little help so we stayed and volunteered.
This weekend, Mercy Chefs joined the Texas Sport for Healing Fund at Tom Moore High School in Ingram, TX, for a day filled with hope, fun, and healing. 🍽️
Together with staff from the @spurs, @dallasmavs, @HoustonRockets, and @DallasStars, the community enjoyed free sports and dance clinics, games, giveaways, counseling services, and a hot Mercy Chefs meal. ❤️

Mercy Chefs began with the tragedy that occurred when Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans 20 years ago, and Gary LeBlanc received the call to "feed people; just go feed people."
It’s been 20 years since Hurricane Katrina ravaged New Orleans, but the storm led to incredible acts of service during a dark time. One of those stories belongs to Chef Gary LeBlanc, and he joined FOX Weather to explain how that disaster led to the creation of Mercy Chefs.
This week, nearly 100 members of Spurs Sports & Entertainment traveled to Ingram, TX, to volunteer with us and support our ongoing flood relief efforts in Kerr County!
Together, we prepared, plated, and delivered fresh, hot meals to families and volunteers working tirelessly to rebuild after the devastating flooding that occurred during the July 4th weekend. Nearly six weeks after the flood, Kerr County is just beginning to pick up the pieces, and these hot meals are nourishing a community that is focused on rebuilding.
We’re so grateful for the Spurs family and for everyone continuing to stand with Kerr County on this long road to recovery. ❤️
