I do not doubt science but if this gentleman is not Paul Kafeero’s son then we might need to do DNA of our parents when they’re still alive. Cheeiiiii!!! @BalaamBarugahar
people who go silent when something upsets or hurts them, experience a coping mechanism called emotional withdrawal. It's not that they have nothing to say, it's bc their system learned that silence is safer than being misunderstood. Instead of expressing anger, they hold it in
A man marries a woman.
A woman gets married to a man.
In African weddings, once the man fulfills all obligations or rites that has been requested by the bride's family (including bride price), then he has sponsored his wedding.
The bride or her family can decide to spend lavishly, to make it a glamorous wedding.
That's their choice.
But a man is to foot the traditional and legal requirements of marrying his wife.
Then he can entertain their guests according to his capacity.
Every other things are 'jara'.
The man has married his wife.
So if you meet a man who cannot fulfill these obligations or rites, then I don't know what you're getting married to.
End.
I've tasted being the bigger person and i've tasted matching energy. i highly recommend choosing people who never make you act out of character. there's wisdom in remaining grounded.
my classmate in med school studies for seven hours every evening and exercises daily. I used to ask him how did he manage it & he said, "I'm very disciplined". I met his wife yesterday, she told me how she cooked him three fresh meals daily, mowed their lawn, ran all errands, cleaned the house weekly, and handled all social plans. It made me wonder how many times "discipline" means a woman doing all of the other essential work that keeps a life going
I spent 4 years paying my younger sister’s school fees. Every single kobo.
The day she graduated, she gave the acknowledgement speech and thanked everyone except me.
I sat in that hall and felt my soul leave my body 😭.
When she got admission, things were tight at home.
I had just started my first job.
I told our parents, "Don't worry. I’ll handle it." And I did.
Every semester. No breaks.
There were months I was eating 0-1-0 so her account wouldn't run dry.
I never told her. I didn't think I needed to.
Graduation day, she looked beautiful. The first graduate in our family.
I was prouder of her than I’ve ever been of myself.
Then she got the mic.
> She thanked God. (Fair).
> She thanked our parents. (Expected).
> She thanked her friends who kept her sane.
> She even thanked her HOD.
Then she sat down.
My mother looked at me. I smiled and looked away, but the clapping felt like it was happening in a different room.
I didn’t say anything that day. Or the week after.
But something in how I moved changed.
I stopped volunteering. Started waiting to be asked. Started noticing who actually noticed me.
People say, "Don’t give to be recognized." I agree to an extent.
But there is a thin line between not needing applause and being erased by the person you bled for.
That's not humility. That's invisibility.
We’re fine now. I brought it up six months later, calmly.
She cried, and said she was nervous and blanked.
Maybe. Maybe not 🤷
But I learned something either way.
Sacrifice without communication creates invisible resentment.
Tell people what you are carrying for them. Not to guilt trip them. But because silence makes martyrs, and martyrs make bitter people.
This same dynamic shows up in dating every day.
You’re playing the provider or the supporter in silence, while your partner thinks you're just an oil money that never runs dry.
Stop accepting the bare minimum of gratitude. If they don't see the sacrifice, they won't value the person making it.
Has someone ever made you feel invisible in a relationship after everything you did for them?
Let’s talk below.👇
Fathers don’t post 50 selfies with their kids every week.
They just quietly renew the car insurance at 2 a.m.
Skip their own doctor’s appointment so the school fees can be cleared, and still say I’m fine when you ask how work was.
That’s the love no one talks about.
I think one of the most underrated blessings in life is meeting people who genuinely wish you well—no competition, no hidden jealousy, no weird energy. Just pure support.
Young men think loyalty is tested in temptation. Wrong test. Loyalty is tested when your money dries up, your plans collapse, and you’re sitting there with nothing but hope and black tea.
Your next level may come through a person you wouldn’t choose.
🪘Not every helper will look “acceptable.”
🪘Not every door-opener will match your brand.
🪘Not every key-holder will fit your moral comfort.
But purpose doesn’t care about your ego.
If you demand perfect people to progress, you’ll stay stuck with polite stagnation. Sometimes the map is held by someone you wouldn’t invite to your dinner.
"What does she bring to the table?"
Go and hire a chef or a maid, or order those food online.
Do that for 3 months, and you'd see what your bank account would look like.
Don't go and marry a wife.
End.
Harsh truth: If you don't spend enough time getting to know yourself, you will end up absorbing everyone else's definition of yourself.
Don't fear stillness.
Embrace it.

The cheat code nobody talks about: Being reliable. Answer emails quickly. Show up on time. Do what you said. Keep small promises. Remember details. In a world where everyone is flaky, reliability looks like genius. It's not talent.
When a pregnant mad woman keeps visiting your homestead, just know that one of your sons is responsible.
Strange problems don’t camp at your gate by accident. If the same drama keeps knocking, someone inside the house owns the key.
Are you financially literate enough to understand that two aligned adults build wealth faster ,
survive shocks better ,
Run farther , than one isolated ego ?
Are you deeply aware ?
Let me share the biggest lesson of the decades I've so far lived...
When something drastic happens to you, don't rule out anyone especially those you consider "trusted"... mother, father, sister, brother, best man, pastor, wife... Guys we're dealing with spirits that smile and hug us.
