Back-to-school season is in full swing at the hospital! We team up with Springfield Public Schools each year to host 50 8th graders who spend the year on our campus exploring different careers and learning from professionals in the medical field. Today was day 1 of a new year 👍

Our very own Dr. Bumberry shared some great tips on grilling safety this week. Check it out, and don't ignore her advice about fire safety!

What a great day for our team! We celebrated women leaders in our region as part of @Biz417's Ladies Who Launch, which is such an inspiring business leadership event. We're honored to have our own Marie Moore participate in this year's gathering.

Big thank you to everyone who joined us at @AlamoSpringMO last night for the 12 People You Need to Know event with @sbjnet! It was great to see our president David Argueta in action, and the Q&A after the event was fantastic!

Happy 20th birthday to our Mercy Surgery Center. To get an idea of how significant the Surgery Center has been to our community in Springfield and the surrounding region, we pulled the numbers and learned we've done 174,182 surgeries in this building since opening 20 years ago.

Congrats Marie Moore (chief nursing officer at Mercy Hospital Springfield) for making 10 for the Next 10 in @Biz417 along with other community innovators. Marie beefed up our nursing team despite a nursing shortage and pushed for gig nursing.

We couldn't be more proud of our electrophysiology team, who started the first conduction system pacing program in southwest Missouri. This program implements the next generation of pacemakers, helping to improve patient outcomes in heart surgery.
