Lutuwa, we have started receiving rain. Start preparing your land now so you can plant early.
Those who were hit hardest by the drought during the first planting season were, in many cases, those who planted late. Don’t make the same mistake this time.
Whether you are using a hand hoe, an ox plough, or a tractor, this is the time to get to work. Prepare your land early, plant on time, and give your crops the best chance to thrive.
Sad reality in Acholi today.
For many families, land is no longer a factor of production. It has become an ATM.
Need school fees? Sell land.
Need to marry? Sell land.
Need hospital bills paid? Sell land.
Need a Bajaj? Sell land.
Need to solve any financial problem? Sell land.
Instead of making the land produce money, we are making money by disposing of the land itself. We are consuming our inheritance instead of investing in it.
The painful irony is that many people who sold land years ago are now squatters on what was once their own ancestral land. Yet the cycle continues.
If we do not change course, future generations will inherit stories instead of land, memories instead of wealth, and regret instead of opportunity. The tragedy will not be that outsiders took Acholi’s land. It will be that we willingly sold it, one transaction at a time.
To every young man and woman, become the custodian of your family’s land, not the generation that signs it away. Buy more if you can. They manufacture cars, phones, and Bajajs every day. They do not manufacture land.
@gloriaolana I have just two boys and they decided to look exactly like their father in both character and appearance but I made peace with it. He is a good man and I am a happy photocopying machine
@AllanSseky The road is narrow at the same time there are lots of trailers packed on both sides especially from kamdini ,drove there a few weeks ago and it's not safe especially with speeding vehicles throughout
The parable of the lost sheep won’t make any sense to you until you realize you’re the one sheep He left the ninety-nine to look for”
That is; He left the ninety-nine, and went looking for you.
Others would have abandoned the lost one because the ninety-nine were enough but not Jesus. He went after the one until He found it.
Jesus loves the imperfect you and wants the best for you. He desires a close relationship with you, so please don’t do life without Him.
He’s a loving father 💙
Did you know Jacob was buried with Leah, not Rachel? Not the woman he loved. Not the one he cried for. Not the one he labored fourteen years to have. Leah. In Genesis 49:29–31, when Jacob was about to die, he gave a clear instruction: “Bury me… in the cave… where Abraham and Sarah are… Isaac and Rebekah… and there I buried Leah.” Pause. Rachel was his passion. Leah was his alignment. Rachel was the love story. Leah was the covenant story. Rachel had his emotions.
Leah carried the promise. Rachel was buried on the roadside (Genesis 35:19). Leah was laid in the ancestral grave of covenant the lineage of God’s dealings. And here is the mystery: Leah was the rejected one. The one Jacob didn’t choose. The one he endured, not desired. But heaven chose her. From Leah came Judah. From Judah came Jesus Christ. Let that settle in your spirit The woman rejected by a man became central to God’s redemptive plan. This is where many people miss it:
We are all trying to be “Rachel”seen, desired, celebrated. But God builds legacy through “Leah seasons”And that is the gospel pattern: God does not build His purposes on human preference. He builds on grace and election. So if you feel overlooked… if you feel like second choice…
if life has not chosen you first— hear this clearly: God’s choice overrides man’s rejection... if you’re in your Leah season you are being written into something bigger.
Amen
CHINESE CHRISTIANS SEEING BIBLE FOR THE FIRST TIME... Oh, Father forgive me if I have taken the gospel for granted and haven't made full proof of it... Oh. 🥹🙌
You know what shook me when I was Muslim?
The story of Hosea. God tells a prophet to marry a woman He knows will betray him.
She does. She runs to other men. She ends up enslaved, sold, used up, worthless to the world.
And God tells Hosea to go BUY HER BACK.
To pay money for his own wife who cheated on him, and love her again. Hosea 3.
I thought it was the most humiliating command in the Bible. Why would any man do that?
Then I realized I was the wife.
I gave my heart to everything but God. I chased other masters. I sold myself cheap. I made myself worthless.
And God looked at me, the betrayer, and didn’t say “you’re not worth it.”
He said, “Name the price. I’m buying her back.”
That’s the Gospel. God doesn’t wait for the unfaithful to come crawling back clean.
He pays to redeem them while they’re still dirty.
Islam told me to make myself worthy of God.
Hosea showed me a God who pays to redeem the unworthy.
The cross was Him naming the price.
Praise the Lord.
COMMAND YOUR DAY!
Never leave your house without praying.
Before you step into your Monday, remember that prayer is not a religious routine—it is an invitation for God to go before you. When you begin your day with God, you are declaring that your confidence is not in your own strength but in Him who orders your steps.
"Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him, and He will act." — Psalm 37:5
As you begin this new week, take a few moments to pray these prayer points:
1. Thank God for the gift of life.
Father, thank You for waking me up this morning. Thank You for Your mercy, Your grace, and Your faithfulness. This is the day You have made, and I choose to rejoice and be glad in it. (Psalm 118:24)
2. Commit your day into God's hands.
Lord, I surrender this Monday to You. Order my steps, guide my decisions, and let everything I do bring glory to Your name. (Proverbs 3:5–6)
3. Pray for divine protection.
Father, surround me and my family with Your angels. Protect us from accidents, evil, sickness, harm, and every trap of the enemy. No weapon formed against us shall prosper. (Isaiah 54:17; Psalm 91)
4. Pray for open doors and favour.
Lord, open doors that no one can shut. Let Your favour speak for me in every place I go today. Connect me with the right people and the right opportunities. (Revelation 3:8)
5. Pray for wisdom.
Father, grant me wisdom to make the right choices. Help me to speak with grace, act with discernment, and walk according to Your will. (James 1:5)
6. Pray against fear and anxiety.
I reject every spirit of fear, worry, discouragement, and confusion. I receive the peace of Christ that surpasses all understanding. (Philippians 4:6–7; 2 Timothy 1:7)
7. Pray for your work, business, studies, and finances.
Lord, bless the work of my hands. Let everything I touch prosper according to Your will. Give me divine ideas, increase, and financial provision. (Deuteronomy 28:12)
8. Pray for your family.
Father, keep my family in perfect peace. Strengthen our faith, preserve our health, and let Your love reign in our home.
9. Pray for spiritual strength.
Lord, help me to resist temptation, remain faithful to You, and walk in holiness. Fill me afresh with Your Holy Spirit. (Galatians 5:16)
10. Declare victory over your day.
I declare that this Monday is blessed. I will not be defeated. I will walk in favour, peace, wisdom, and divine protection. Every battle assigned against me is already won through Jesus Christ. Goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
May your Monday be filled with God's presence, His favour, His protection, and His peace. Go out with confidence, knowing that the Lord goes before you and will never leave nor forsake you.
Have a blessed and victorious Monday! 🙏🏾✝️
