A 21-year-old with a YouTube channel just dropped one unofficial track and fans are already calling it the real anthem.

Speed's 2022 World Cup song sits north of 200M views. That beats what most official tournament anthems ever reach, and he did it without a FIFA deal or a label pushing it.

"Champions" cleared half a million views in two hours. He names all 48 nations in it, so every fanbase on earth has a reason to share it. The track is engineered to travel.

This is the creator economy in one release. FIFA rents attention through licensing and broadcast slots. Speed owns 54M subscribers who show up the second he posts.

Official endorsement used to be the moat. The moat now is the audience you already control, and Speed carries his into every country in the bracket.

FIFA picked the artists. The internet picked the anthem.

Kenya has no free-to-air TV deal yet for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with about 10 days to kick-off.

So far only pay TV broadcasters SuperSport, Azam TV and New World TV hold the rights for live coverage.

🚨 A new rule, dubbed the 'anti-Arsenal law', is to be introduced at the World Cup, with an England goal used as a case study for what officials are looking to cut out.

The rule will see players penalised for obstructing or preventing an opponent from playing the ball at free kicks and corners. Originating from basketball, the law essentially stops players acting as blockers.

Players can be penalised for the offence prior to the ball being kicked. Changes will come into play for the World Cup and in all major leagues from the start of July.
