Two of the four University of Idaho students killed in November will receive posthumous degrees this weekend. The other two will receive certificates.

It's fine to be critical of American media. I am too! But folks, please for a moment close your eyes and imagine a world in which all you know about its workings is what the powerful want you to know, and not a lick more. This is our destination without a course correction.
Another media "professional" using Kohberger's names for clicks. This is ridiculous. A student at WSU died, but rather than honor this guy, you completely take the focus off him. The disrespect is appalling.
Our community lost a beautiful soul today. Sending love to our friends at @KTVB and to the thousands of lives who were touched by Theresa’s love and kindness.
The officiating in the NCAA women’s basketball championship was horrendous. This was one of the most anticipated games (and largest, or one of the largest, in viewership) for women’s college hoops. A golden opportunity to grow the fan base. And the refs 100% ruined it.
By my count, this is the 13th DAG to leave the Idaho AG's office since the November election. Two paralegals and two longtime staffers who interfaced with the public and media also have left.

@christiangarcia@gouconnect Kamiak is also owned and operated by alumni of Washington State University, where @asafranski10 went to school. Lots of uConnect connections 😊
@christiangarcia@gouconnect Thank you for coming on the pod, @christiangarcia! Enjoy the swag 😊 Fun fact: the coffee is roasted by @KamiakCoffeeCo in Moscow, Idaho (where I lived for many years until a few months ago). It was important to us to support a local roaster. And it’s REALLY good 😋☕️
The house where four University of Idaho students were stabbed to death in November will be demolished. The homeowner gave the property to U of I, who plans to knock it down by the end of the spring semester. From @ShaunGoodwinID: https://t.co/sVDn1QBOie
uConnect founder and CEO @dkozhuk rebuts the recent “Abolish Career Services” article in @Forbes and discusses why higher ed should instead invest more in career services. https://t.co/bt9NRdCGW9
Our View: Ethical reporting should be the number one goal for all journalists. This has been forgotten in the coverage of the murders of our four peers by national reporters and self-proclaimed internet sleuths.

I’ll always remember, a journalism professor once told me “the minute you stop crying, get out of news.”
So much of being a reporter is about being put together & unbothered. But it’s also about empathy.
So gentle reminder to myself and other journos—you’re allowed cry today.
Took a screenshot of this from a Moscow friend’s IG story. This is terrible. I have to wonder if it’s because Nancy Grace was in there a day or two ago posting videos and photos from inside and outside Mad Greek. Moscow friends, please go support Mad Greek 💛🖤
Friendly reminder that the SPJ Code of Ethics advises journalists to avoid pandering to lurid curiosity, even if others do. “Balance the public’s need for information against potential harm or discomfort. Pursuit of the news is not a license for arrogance or undue intrusiveness.”
