@KennyLauderdal3 I love the '80s, but for me personally, when I think about animations I love from that decade, they tend to be more from the latter half--and I think a lot of people end up lumping them into the '90s as that's when a lot of westerners first got to watch them.
@KennyLauderdal3 I think the 1980's has a bigger shift in animation quality/style during its run than the 1990's did. I feel like there's a bigger difference between anime from the early '80s and late '80s, whereas the '90s is a bit more consistent throughout.
@meguliciousness@Elias_Mizuki I'm still happy to see more Spice and Wolf (we've all waited a long time for it), but I do find the interpretation of the material this time around a little dissapointing. That said, it's still early days, so maybe I'll feel differently as the season progresses.
@meguliciousness@Elias_Mizuki My issue with the remake isn't the art: I preferred the older style but this is fine. I just feel like the characters, specifically Holo, feel a bit off with their interactions. There's also some scenes they try to speed through too quick, which lessens their impact.
@Kosperry It was always my favourite Disney film as a kid (Bedknobs and Broomsticks was a close second); I still feel like it's one of the best they ever made. It's always good to see it get some love.
