As a public school teacher, I showed this video to my Social Studies classes about a month into every school year.
No introduction.
No explanation.
Just a realization that America should never be taken for granted.
One. Nation. Under. God.
You know what: They got it!
Every time.
@RealJamesWoods Please maintain your perspective:
You're looking at maybe 1% of NYC's population "acting the fool" in their "celebration" of the Knicks victory.
Of course, Mayor ZM just sent his Arabic missive about how ALL New Yorkers should act during the World Cup—hopefully THAT 1% reads it!!
June 15, 1864: Arlington National Cemetery was established when 200 acres of General Robert E. Lee's estate in Virginia, which had been seized by the U.S. government, was authorized for a national cemetery.
@jasonwhitlock Victim Wheresyourmama is a petulant Parisian punk whose natural God-given talents have been wasted by a Marxist, anti-American mouthpiece—"Coach" Popovitch has turned Vic against the USA by grooming a rule-breaking, elbow-swinging, anthem-ignoring thug.
Don't like America?!
BYE!!

@FarmGirlCarrie George Floyd.
He was a human being.
He was flawed.
He was a career criminal and convicted felon.
He was NOT a hero.
He was NOT a saint.
He deserved NO statues or murals.
He deserves to rest in peace.
And we need to move on with our lives.

When President Trump speaks about everyone having EQUAL OPPORTUNITY to achieve Success, he often points to Elon Musk.
Meanwhile, Comrade Sanders insists on EQUAL OUTCOMES for everyone and uses Musk to convince some to give Power to the Democrats!

True love, according to Jesus Christ, is a selfless, unconditional, and sacrificial choice to put others before yourself. Often referred to as •agape• in the Bible, Jesus defined this love not just by words but by His actions.
Amen.
“Hello darkness, my old friend.” Everybody knows the iconic Paul Simon & Art Garfunkel song, but did you know the amazing story behind the first line of The Sounds of Silence?...
It began when Art Garfunkel, a kid from Queens, enrolled in Columbia University.
Art met a student from Buffalo named Sandy Greenberg, and they bonded over their passion for literature and music. Art and Sandy became roommates and close friends.
Soon after starting college, Sandy’s vision became blurry which the doctors diagnosed as temporary conjunctivitis though the problem grew worse.
Finally after seeing a specialist, Sandy received news that severe glaucoma was destroying his optic nerves. The young man with a bright future would soon be completely blind.
Sandy was devastated and depressed. He gave up his dream of becoming a lawyer and moved back to Buffalo, where he didn’t want to be a burden to his financially-struggling family.
Consumed with fear, he cut off contact with his old friends, refusing letters or phone calls.
Then to Sandy’s shock, Art showed up at the front door. He was not going to allow Sandy to give up.
Art convinced Sandy to give college another go, and promised that he would be right by his side to make sure he didn’t fail.
Art kept his promise, and guided him around campus. It was important to Art that he should never feel alone in darkness.
Art organized his life around helping Sandy.
Art was guiding Sandy through crowded Grand Central Station when he suddenly said he had to go and left Sandy alone and petrified.
Sandy stumbled, bumped into people, and fell, cutting his shin. After a couple of hours, Sandy finally got on the right subway train.
After exiting the station, Sandy bumped into someone who quickly apologized.
Sandy recognized Art’s voice.
Turns out Art had followed him the whole way home, making sure he was safe.
Sandy later said, “That moment was the spark that caused me to live a completely different life, without fear, without doubt.”
Sandy graduated from Columbia and earned degrees at Harvard and Oxford. He married his high school sweetheart and became successful.
While at Oxford, Sandy got a call from Art. Art needed help.
He’d formed a folk duo with his high school pal Paul Simon, and they needed $400 to record their first album. Sandy and his wife Sue only had $404 in their bank account at the time.
Without hesitation, he gave Art what he needed.
Art and Paul's first album was not a success, but one of the songs, The Sounds of Silence, became a #1 hit a year later.
The opening line echoed the way Sandy always greeted Art.
As we know, Simon & Garfunkel became one of the most beloved musical acts in history.
Art Garfunkel said when he became friends with Sandy, “My real life emerged. I became a better guy and began to see who I was; somebody who gives to a friend.”
Sandy describes himself as. “The luckiest man in the world.”
