@abiyetk@yefelekebay Every time I see Cade, I’m reminded of this post. You mentioned the name out of the blue back then, and it just stuck in my head 😂. The future is here I guess.
We've all known we needed a CM. With just hours left, we suddenly go for a Gallagher loan out of nowhere? Compare this to how Liverpool and Arsenal handle their business - it just shows how far behind we really are.
Manchester United made an enquiry to loan Atletico Madrid midfielder Conor Gallagher. Approach rejected. Atletico were never prepared to sanction a temporary move.❌
"We employed a coach with his own philosophy that is just his...from another club that has never ever happened at Manchester"
May be Scholes is suggesting that we hire someone from the Fergi era and play 4-4-2 with wingers? Anything else won't work because it's never tried 😄
@abiyetk@yefelekebay The problem with selling Bruno now, when our stock is at its lowest, is that the money won’t bring the quality we need. There is no strategic value to it. A phased rebuild gives Amorim time, stabilizes the club, and puts us in a stronger spot to sell him and reinvest if needed.
@abiyetk@yefelekebay We won’t compete for titles with or without Bruno - agreed. And yes a rebuild is needed. There are two ways to rebuild: burn it all down or phase it smartly. I’m arguing for the latter. The goal of retaining Bruno is to keep the lights on & holding the structure together.
@abiyetk@yefelekebay If there’s ever been a worse time to replace him, it’s now. You don’t burn the house down when you’ve got no bricks to rebuild. There are other positions that are more urgent imo. Let's get those sorted out first. Sell Bruno next year to strengthen further.
Welcome back btw 🙂
You don’t reach a Champions League semi-final and then show up playing Stoke City football. Resorting to Tony Pulis tactics at this stage of the competition, when you have such talented players at your disposal is beyond embarrassing.
@TTaffese What a game man. We had lots of comebacks but to go from 2 goals down to win it in a span of 10 minutes in a season defining game is something else. Casemiro got us the penalty too so he was involved in all the 3 goals.
@TTaffese @Casemiro@ManUtd Absolutely. He stayed professional even when he was left on the bench for a while. We need an upgrade in that area but it is becoming the least of priorities at the moment given the GK and striker positions
Bruno drops beside a center-back to compensate for defenders who can't progress the ball. Then he shifts next to Ugarte to carry it forward, and still has to appear as a No. 10 to create final-third chances. This isn't sustainable #MUFC
@TheodrosM@ManUtd If I remember correctly, the take you had was that Bruno is the worst captain ever....worse than Maguire. That is an unforgivable take tbh 😀
This is a good summary on Bruno.

Manchester United are a joke right now. Without Bruno Fernandes, they would be an unmitigated, cataclysmic disaster. Yesterday he dragged Manchester United to a draw that they did not deserve.
He is the best final third creator the team has, but also the best ball progressor out of CM. We need his creation, we need his progression, but he can't do it all. He was a £47m bargain, if we hadn't of signed him right now we'd be screaming at the player we missed out on.
There are a lot of problems at the club, but he's not one of them - he's part of the solution. He gets enough hate from rival fans jealous of the player he is, he doesn't deserve what he gets from his own fanbase.
@TheodrosM@ManUtd Most of the players aren't good enough for United. They are also not as bad as they look now. They are recruited by multiple managers for different systems and don't fit together. Bring any coach and they will struggle.
@TheodrosM@ManUtd If there were young players that are ready then they would have started. Like Toby Collyer.
You're implying that these players performed better before & hence this has to be on Amorim. You asked for ETH to go and u got a new promising young coach. Should we sack this one too?
