@AlabrelHS@PlayHearthstone Yeah it needs a balance pass but that’s expected I think with emergent gameplay vs crafted experience (standard). Hope Arena continues to get timely support
@JuvenileBluster@PlayHearthstone Rewards could be better, I agree. I just really liked that they took the time to iterate and come to a better game mode after years of potential. And it landed really solidly.
Was thinking 4 cards redraft instead of 5 in underground to tone down power level, wdyt?
@PlayHearthstone Picking legendary first and having some small support for it is excellent. I’d love to see a brief pass on some over performing ones, but particularly buff some underperforming buckets that are fun
@PlayHearthstone I see a lot of people complaining about the arena changes but I personally like them, particularly underground. I do feel like the power level is a bit high sometimes, with me getting blown out more often than I’d expected. Still, great changes overall? And thanks for iterating.
@PlayHearthstone Really hoping for some refreshes to unpopular heroes or weak hero powers 🙏 some of the designs just feel so legacy at this point, especially comparing to the excellent new stuff that has come out since.
Also, weapon slot when??
@HairyKraken@ZachODR Ultimately I think viewers are more interested in hard takes, and @ZachODR benefits from strong language in the form of positive/negative engagement. If something turns out to be wrong, great, he has more content for the next one. I don’t question his expertise.
@HairyKraken@ZachODR Totally agreed but with the caveat that its up to @ZachODR how much he wants to lean into the entertainment/editorialization portion. You can end up with “wishy washy” opinions if you never want to be wrong. And of course its sliding scale of entertainment versus hard fact.
@HairyKraken@ZachODR I think many decks can not be counted out in this new era of hearthstone balance despite being “bad”. Its up to the viewer, in some cases, to read and react to meta development with this in mind. Does it look bad? A little. Is the wording deliberate to evoke emotion? Yes
