Im Auditorium des Abschlusspanels der Queer ALMS Konferenz in Berlin in 2019 hatte ich das Vergnügen zufällig neben ihm zu sitzen. Er war sehr nett, und ein bisschen peinlich berührt, als ich ihm meine Bewunderung ausdrückte. Sehr sympathisch. Ein großer Verlust für das Fach!
R.I.P. Jens Dobler, dessen treffende Analysen von Antisemitismus, Polizeigeschichte und Homosexuellenverfolgung längst so einschlägige Texte geworden sind, dass ich sie zum Teil schon im Grundstudium las. Jedem, der sein Werk nicht kennt, sei es aufs Wärmste ans Herz gelegt.
