@LostLarry1@___TheGOOdWitch You keep going back to “babies right before birth” because it’s easier than understanding me.
Doctors aren’t routinely performing abortions right before delivery. You’re arguing about a rare edge case while ignoring the abortion laws that affect people every day.
@LostLarry1@___TheGOOdWitch First you said nobody is forced to remain pregnant. Now you’re arguing most abortions happen before the bans take effect.
My point has always been the same: if someone wants an abortion and the law prevents them from getting one, they are being forced to continue the pregnancy.
@LostLarry1@___TheGOOdWitch I never said abortion was a virtue.
If the law prevents someone from ending a pregnancy they don’t want to continue, they are being forced to remain pregnant.
You can argue that’s justified. You can’t honestly argue it isn’t happening.
I’ve made my point so many times now.
@LostLarry1@___TheGOOdWitch A near-total ban with limited exceptions is still a ban for most people.
Repeating “babies right before birth” doesn’t change that. You keep bringing it up as if it happens all the time. It’s such a weak response on your behalf.
Also no, I’m not forcing anyone to give birth.
@LostLarry1@___TheGOOdWitch The source says abortion is banned or severely restricted in 17 states and 13 have near-total bans.
My position remains the same: I don’t think people should be forced to remain pregnant against their will.
That is exactly what these laws do.
@LostLarry1@___TheGOOdWitch You’re very confident about being so wrong.
There are 13 states with abortion bans. If the government blocks your only legal option to end a pregnancy, that’s literally the government forcing you to remain pregnant.

@LostLarry1@___TheGOOdWitch When the government, family members, religion or partners force someone to stay pregnant when they don’t want to be, that’s forced pregnancy.
I’m not sure why you’re pretending otherwise. Many people have been forced to remain pregnant against their will.
@LostLarry1@___TheGOOdWitch Abortion is the termination of a pregnancy.
The fact that I oppose forced birth doesn’t mean I automatically support every abortion scenario you can dream up.
I simply don’t want vulnerable women, rape victims, or young girls forced to remain pregnant against their will.
@LostLarry1@___TheGOOdWitch No, it means I don’t think the government should force women and young girls to remain pregnant against their will. You keep jumping to “healthy babies moments before birth” because you don’t understand what abortion actually is.
