I belong to the generation born after the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. I didn’t live through it, but I live with its weight, and with the duty to remember, speak, and act.
Now, 31 years later, we remember. We honor the over one million Tutsi who were brutally killed, and
we stand with all those who carry the scars of that time. But remembrance alone is not enough. We must continue to ask what “NEVER AGAIN” really means, because it’s not just a phrase for ceremonies. It is a promise. A commitment. A responsibility.
Even now, with countless testimonies, memorials, documented evidences, and living witnesses, there are still voices that deny and distort the truth of our history. Big magnitude do so out of Negligence. Some do so out of hatred. Others do so out Ignorance.
But no matter the reason, we cannot remain silent. Denial is violence in another form and we must confront it with truth, clarity, and courage. We, the post-Genocide generation, are the nation’s living promise. Rwanda has entrusted us with what has been rebuilt through
unimaginable sacrifice. It’s on us to protect it, to sustain it, and to pass it on-stronger and more united. Let’s never forget: the Genocide didn’t start with weapons, it started with words, spread through bad leadership, fueled by division and silence.
That’s why we must be vigilant in how we speak, lead, and live. The smallest choices can either build peace or reopen wounds.
Never Again is not a whisper of hope. It is a declaration. A warning. A responsibility we must carry every day. #RwOT#NeverAgain#twibuketwiyubaka

“Rwanda seeks peace, for ourselves and for everyone in our region. We know the value of peace, just as well as anyone else, maybe even more.” C-in-C

After flying F-14's for the aerial stunts in Top Gun, Scott Altman became an Astronaut, here's him landing the shuttle.
I think he planted that nose wheel like he was landing on a carrier.
