@intrepidusink Tanet is brave because she not only overcomes the cruelty that has been done to her but also finds a way to resist it on behalf of others, to make life safer for them. To do so she has to shake up her own assumptions and step into the unknown!

In flash fiction, the tone of the writing and the language chosen can carry a lot of the emotion and the mood. I tried to keep the tone grave, with a few sprinkles of chivalry, a bit like the main character herself! @intrepidusink
