We said it from the beginning, the best receiver room in the state!
All 3 with Division 1 opportunities.
Proud of the work they put in every single day.

Recruiting for Service Academies in #CFB is EVERYTHING. Air Force isn't going out here using the Transfer Portal, this is a developmental program that relys on evaluations and recruiting the type of player that will thrive in their system. Head Coach Troy Calhoun just made waves with his 2026 Recruiting Class, it's the BEST CLASS EVER in Air Force History by AVG Recruit Ranking. The class is led by 3 star Safety Knight Wilson from Franklin, TN. 3 star WR Merrik Bloomgren is 6'3 and a solid addition and 3 star ATH Wes Burford is a versatile player who could contribute at many positions. This 2026 class is a legendary one for Air Force and should develop into a solid unit down the road. As always these Air Force players will go on to do great things outside of football one day and we are thankful for their service. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Absolute steal for any school! He can win over the top, go up and get it in traffic, and catch the intermediate passing game and go the distance. Already has 5 D1 Offers.

📷 The UIL Class 6A Division II semifinal showdown kicks off this Saturday at 3 p.m. inside the Alamodome, where the Dripping Springs Tigers and Vandegrift Vipers collide for a shot at glory. I’ll be on the sidelines, lens ready, to capture every ounce of grit, every flash of action, and the triumph that unfolds as these Austin area titans battle on the gridiron. In the image, Dripping Springs Tigers wide receiver Merrik Bloomgren (7), @MerrikBloomgren, battles with Vandegrift Vipers defensive back Matt Draeken (16) during a game last season at Monroe Memorial Stadium in Austin, TX. @VHSFootball@LeanderISD@LeanderisdATH@DripFB@CoachGZimmerman@DSISD@varsity_news
Merrik Bloomgren is a MATCHUP NIGHTMARE.
@MerrikBloomgren
At 6’4, 192 lbs., this young man blends length, fluid movement, and soft hands into the kind of receiver coaches dream about. His vertical pop and mid-air body control make him a natural red-zone threat, and his ability to tilt 50/50 balls into 60/40 wins is flat-out special. Pair that with verified track speed and you get a deep-ball weapon who consistently slips behind coverage for explosive gains.
Bloomgren’s film shows a long, smooth athlete who understands pacing, leverage, and spacing at a high level. He’s dangerous on screens, motion looks, isolation shots; wherever you place him, he produces because his game is built on real athletic ability and strong football instincts. Even for a taller receiver, he’s surprisingly elusive, finding soft spots in zone and staying in-phase with the ball through contact.
Already holding offers from Army, Davidson, Marist, Penn, Dartmouth, and Yale, his stock continues to rise.
In short: Merrik Bloomgren is a reliable, high-upside weapon with legit red-zone and deep-threat value… and he’s only getting better.
