I attended the Freedom of the Borough of @sthelenscouncil parade on Saturday where @969rafac were awarded the Freedom of the Borough in recognition of their years of dedication, hard work & service to the community. It was a fantastic display and a proud moment to witness.
Over the weekend, Cadets and CFAV's from Merseyside Wing came together for the first Activity First Aid course of 2026 at 611 (Woodvale) Sqn.

Cadets from Sectors 1 & 2 were building real-world leadership skills, exploring rockets, the space race & why space/cyber matter to the Royal Air Force today.

Our Cadets visited Cheshire Police Tactical Training Centre alongside Army & Sea Cadets for a fantastic multi-cadet event. From Armed Response & CSI to dive search, public order & a Taser demo, giving real insight into modern policing. Huge thanks to Cheshire Police for the day.
The Wing Netball Competition keeps growing! 19 Mixed & 15 Female teams competed on Sunday in a fantastic atmosphere with close games from group stages to finals. Well done to all Cadets & thanks to CFAVs, Ellesmere Port Sports Village & West Cheshire Warriors for their support!
Earlier this month, personnel from the 6 Wings of North Region attended an Awards Evening Ceremony at RAF Leeming including members of Merseyside Wing who were recognised for their efforts on behalf of the Region, with their Certificates being presented by Air Commodore Al Lewis.

The Officer Commanding of Merseyside Wing is pleased to announce that Cadet Warrant Officer Orlagh Daly of 306 (Runcorn) Squadron has been named as Merseyside Wings Best Cadet for 2025, setting a high standard & leading by example to those around on Squadron & in the Wing.
Over the weekend, Cadets and Staff from Merseyside Wing came together for the first Activity First Aid course of 2026 at 610 (City of Chester) Squadron alongside the Youth First Aid course being run Sectors 1 & 2 with 36 participants over the two courses earning their badges.
Its has been a great start to 2026 for Merseyside Wing with the completion of JNCO Course 26/01 setting a high bar for us to follow!
Well done to all the Cadets who completed the course, and have gone back to their units as trained Junior Non-Commissioned Officers (JNCO's)!

On Saturday 29 November, Merseyside Wing Cadet Forces Adult Volunteers travelled to 2137 (Lymm) Squadron to attend a YFA/AFA Assessor Course, all of whom worked hard and put all their experience training YFA into theory and gained the qualification.
