π₯ Congratulations to Community Award winner Zakaria Dada, age 18 from Merton.
π Before the lockdown, Zak created @MertonMutualAid group which recruited over a thousand volunteers to offer support to their local neighbourhoods, with groups and coordinators covering all areas.
Absolutely delighted that @Zak_Dada has won a @JPFoundation community award. He set up @MertonMutualAid & has volunteered tirelessly for Merton non stop since pandemic started. He didnβt let bureaucracy stop him. A truly inspirational young person
Tonight, the eve of the #NHSBirthday, landmarks around the country will light up blue as we remember those we have sadly lost during the pandemic. Thank you to the @makeitblueuk team for all your support in lighting up our skylines. π #LightItBlue
