At the time of the discovery, personnel from the Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Burgos were conducting mobile and foot patrol operations as part of their "Paalala sa Mangingisda sa Panahon ng Bagyo" information drive in light of Super Typhoon #UwanPH.

#MSNews | Personnel of the Catbalogan City Fire Station retrieved a cadaver trapped beneath the debris of her destroyed residence at Pier 2, Barangay 3, Catbalogan City, following the devastation brought by Super Typhoon "Uwan."
Upon receiving the report, BFP Catbalogan immediately dispatched a response team to the area to conduct search and retrieval operations.

#MSNews | The Police Regional Office 3 (Central Luzon) participated in the 4th Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) held on November 6, inside Camp Olivas, San Fernando City, Pampanga.
The said activity spearheaded by the Police Regional Community Affairs and Development Division headed by Col. Ferdinand Germino aimed to enhance awareness, preparedness, and readiness among personnel by simulating real-life earthquake conditions to ensure that PNP personnel and civilian employees inside the camp can respond effectively during and after a seismic event.
At the sound of the one-minute siren, PNP personnel immediately performed the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” procedure, taking cover under desks and sturdy structures.

#MSNews | National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) Vice-Chairperson and Executive Officer (VCEO) Commissioner Rafael Vicente Calinisan called out Mr. Dha Isidro for wearing a mutilated police uniform at a Halloween party that went viral on social media.
Calinisan condemned the said act and urged Isidro to issue an apology or face consequences for wearing a government uniform and desecrating it by using it as a costume.
"It looks like this person went to a Halloween Party. Tomorrow, on behalf of all our policemen, I will issue a show cause oder against you and demand a public apology from you. If we do not hear from you, expect a case to be filed against you. Respect your men in uniform," Calinisan said in his social media post.
In a message to Manila Standard, he added that he will issue a statement on Monday (November 3) regarding the said issue, with Mr. Isidro in attendance to issue his public apology.

#MSNews | The Philippine National Police (PNP) issued a clarificatory statement regarding the photos released by the PNP-Public Information Office (PIO) showing alleged damages caused by the 7.6 magnitude earthquake that struck Davao Oriental on the morning of October 10.
In the released statement, the PNP-PIO said that upon their verification and validation, it was determined that the said photos did not originate from Davao Oriental nor from any of the affected areas.
"The inquiry revealed that these images were taken from a website and therefore do not accurately reflect the current situation on the ground," the statement reads.
Furthermore, for the innacuracies and error caused by the misleading photos, the PNP-PIO apologized and will place corrective measures to avoid such occurances.
"The PNP sincerely apologizes for this inadvertent error and any confusion or concern it may have caused," the PNP-PIO said.
"The misleading photos have already been removed from all official PNP platforms, and corrective measures are being implemented to ensure that all future releases undergo strict validation before publication," it added. | via Vince Lopez
