@BmcLomas@birthrightsorg This seems a perfectly sensible move. I'm not sure it's relevant to the OP of ensuring 'dignity and respect are not left behind'. This is about managing resources in challenging circumstances, not dignity and respect.
Although the UK has a strong record on looking after pregnant women and babies compared to many countries lets make sure that dignity and respect are not left behind in our collective efforts to stop the spread of #coronavirus

“I have difficulty standing, difficulty sitting, difficulty walking. Nobody told me there were any risks whatsoever”
Jacqueline Grimsley was fitted with mesh after a hysterectomy
She said last year a surgeon told her hernia mesh doesn’t cause pain

I wrote to @NicolaSturgeon in November after she met mesh injured women and campaigners - I set out 14 points that needed addressed - I have still not had a reply.
@VictoriaLIVE Scrapping Victoria Derbyshire is indirect discrimination. Produced, presented & researched by a predominantly female team.Dealing with rape, surgical mesh, sex for rent, social media sex, domestic abuse, child abuse, FGM, to a largely female audience. Shame on BBC.
I’ll be looking into why @VictoriaLIVE is being taken off air.
Rigorous campaigning & commitment to public having their say made it pretty unique in daytime TV.
Victoria herself was sharp & approachable with a personal journey that made her relatable.https://t.co/zt0wc8OyXC
@VictoriaLIVE If the BBC continue with the plan to cut your show, they will have a big fight on their hands. Investigative journalism at its best. Get rid of question time and replace with @VictoriaLIVE
Surgical mesh is raised to higher risk in #Australia which means it needs stricter controls before & after it goes on the market. This is planned for UK but what happens under #BREXIT ? @carlheneghan @OwenSmith_MP https://t.co/xIz12Y2jtK
MESH KIT INSTRUCTIONS: In the same way as medicines have a leaflet inside it to tell you of dosage and warnings, so too do mesh kits. They are for surgeons & are called Instructions For Use ( IFUs).
These same warnings should be given to patients. Would you still have this op?
So much more to learn.....for those who are open to learning. Sadly Suzy @ElneilSuzy is in the minority. Most mesh surgeons still have their head in the sand, whilst singing nananananananana. 😰
