That one line teaches us why it’s so hard to admit some of your parents, families, siblings, churches, pastors, etc. have been abusive.

To admit so would be to recognize they did not love you. Being useful is not being loved.

In relationships, I think the 2nd profile line is particularly challenging because of "not wanting to be bothered". It's the other person who takes that personally. That's going to be hard, you know, but not insoluble. So, you're both going to have to be aware.
