Referrals are now open for Recover with Pride, Brighton & Hove LGBT Switchboard’s specialist gambling harm support service for LGBTQ+ communities.

Recover with Pride has been developed in response to clear evidence that LGBTQ+ people can face disproportionate gambling harm, often shaped by minority stress, discrimination, shame, isolation, and barriers to accessing support.

This service has been designed to offer something different: trauma-informed, identity-affirming support created for and by LGBTQ+ people. It provides confidential help for people who gamble, and for people affected by someone else’s gambling.

Support includes one-to-one coaching, peer support and wellbeing groups delivered with Reframe Coaching, alongside independent evaluation from the University of Brighton.

Recover with Pride referral forms are managed by our partner Reframe Coaching. You can refer yourself, or make a referral on behalf of someone else with their knowledge and consent

65 UN member States still criminalise consensual same-sex acts. IDAHOBIT exists because that number must become zero. We know that when governments roll back rights and restrict civic space, they weaken democracy for everyone. LGBTQ+ people have long been at the heart of movements for justice and freedom - and whether part of the community or an ally, we all have a part to play in fighting for equity worldwide

🚨 New Training Opportunity for Community Champions in Bradford

We’re supporting our colleagues at Bradford Public Health and NHSE to share an exciting opportunity to become a Vaccine Community Champion 💬💉

This Level 2 Qualification in Encouraging Vaccination Uptake will help you build the confidence and skills to support people in making informed choices about vaccines.

👉 Through this training, you’ll learn to:
• Understand how vaccines protect communities
• Recognise common concerns, myths, and misinformation
• Explore how culture and beliefs shape decisions
• Use simple, effective communication techniques

⏱️ The course is 8 hours (including a 4-hour face-to-face session)
