The Rock turns 30 today, and the urban legends about the film are wild.
Connery is an older Bond in The Rock. Fun theory which I like, but the Connery had a cabin built and stayed on Alcatraz story is bull... he slept at the Hyatt Regency.
Chem weapons were “verified” by the military. Nope, the opposite happened.
Nic Cage “banned from action movies” before making The Rock. No, but there was real scepticism, so he chased roles to prove himself.
It was written solely by three people. Not really. It was massively overhauled by Tarantino, Aaron Sorkin, even Dick Clement & Ian La Frenais (the writer's of porridge) were pulled in to punch up Connery’s lines.
“An actor nearly died”. Wrong again. During the SF balcony stunt, horrified locals called the cops thinking an actual murder was happening in the hotel.
What is true is that it’s one of the best action films of the 90s.
And Connery’s last line here (and “An act of looneyshe”) is perfect.
1. According to Anna Faris, Jack is not disabled
2. Chris said Jack is healthy years before he said he's grateful of his daughter being born healthy
3. Jack was with his dad at Super Bowl 60 & Super Mario Galaxy premiere in Japan
4. Anna & Chris are happily co-parenting Jack
@SongbirdDiamond I’ll always defend comedy and comedians with all my heart. The most noble job, to try to make people laugh. Try to take life a little less seriously and learn to laugh at yourself. Love ya 🫂🫶
Hackers are reportedly potentially targeting the ‘Avatar: Seven Havens’ spinoff series next
• This is according to the person who leaked clips from 'The Legend of Aang' movie
• He claims a 'substantial' amount of people have access to stuff like this
• An exploit may have been found in Vision Media's servers — the company that handles Paramount's awards promotions

@nightcrawlingxx It’s so funny to me because they were excited at first, and then when the trailer had a pronouns joke they went all “that’s not funny, dated humor” and stuff, they really thought they were just gonna make fun of us instead of also them 😭
SCARY MOVIE is doing really well overseas as well as domestically and is now tracking for a $75M–$90M global debut.
On a $30M-$35M budget, it’ll break even on its opening weekend.
@Draven_X_23@THEHORRORGOTH When you click on the “tomatometer” it does actually give you an average of rated reviews, like even a movie with 91% could be a 6.7 on average. But too many people don’t know about that, also they took that metric away for some time idk why, brought it back just recently.
