A completely honest (though honestly probably incomplete) thread listing things that have forced me to adult since I woke up this morning.

First? Waking up the second time over two hours later and feeling both refreshed and guilty.

Reminder that the ONLY way to reduce traffic is for people to drive less.

Electric and self-driving cars won't reduce traffic. Widening highways won't reduce traffic. Removing bike lanes won't reduce traffic. Allowing people to drive fast won't reduce traffic.

I tried to eat solid food again & nearly full on choked.

I need to see my doctor to get more steroids.

Going to the ER will cost me thousands.

Please help me raise the money I need for seeing my doctor & getting medication. It’s $500.

Dear Michigan - please sell these to clerks in other states. Thanks!

Dear NM clerks - buy them. Then next time have a contest ourselves, ok? But these are excellent.

The winners of the Michigan Secretary of State’s “I Voted” sticker contest were revealed this morning after a public vote.

Here are some of the victorious designs:

depressing how the fight for a $15/hr minimum wage went on for so long $15/hr is no longer a livable wage

PSA : You can still be contagious and spread illnesses and virus before you test positive for it.

This is why people like me keep pushing for masking because you cannot undo the days you have been around people maskless prior to testing positive.

[Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation @OKWildlifeDept]

DO NOT FEED WILDLIFE. IF YOU’RE GOING TO SHARE A DONUT - AT LEAST ASK US IF WE WANT IT FIRST. BECAUSE WE DO. WE LOVE DONUTS. DO NOT GIVE IT TO WILDLIFE - IT IS BAD FOR THEM - AND IT ALSO MEANS LESS DONUTS FOR US. MAKE BETTER CHOICES.

I often see a woman in the park picking dandelions. I found out today she picks them for her 32 yo tortoise, Stanley, that her late husband bought her as a 17th wedding anniversary gift (the traditional gift for 17 yrs is shells) as she’d wanted a tortoise since she was a child.

@NyawiraNjoroge 🤣🤣🤣

[Naté @MetaCookbook]

@HealthyADHD Not exactly, but I do have impulse spending items and items I agonize over. And with each, I tend to have a little more impulse around lower prices and a little less with higher.
