@Schwatzy @JoshMWatts @xxChessMaster I'm new to this too. I only recently learned that if the only move that a player can make is putting a not-in-check King INTO check then the game is stalemated.
When the white forced the black queen to move to F8 and then 'threw away' the queen it left the king with no moves.
