În facultate, am printat imaginea asta pe o foaie A4 și am pus-o pe perete, deasupra monitorului. Voiam să dau în fiecare zi ochii cu ea și a stat acolo câțiva ani, până am plecat din Brașov.

Văzusem atunci „Piața Universității” de Stere Gulea, moment în care toate piesele cazuseră la locul lor. Se făcea lumină și înțelegeam, în sfârșit, de ce România era de când o știam eu, săracă, gri, mizerabilă și detestată.

Înțelegeam atunci de ce milioane de români au plecat din țară. Au fugit goniți de mineriadele rămășițelor încă la putere ale regimului criminal de care crezusem că am scăpat în '89.

Și aflam, șocat, cum crimele minerilor fuseseră aplaudate de mii de oameni la București, așa cum azi mii de oameni aplaudă explozia dronei rusești în blocul din Galați.

Bătrânul tuns regulamentar, bine îmbrăcat, cu aparență de intelectual, săruta mâna brutei care venise la București să umple de sânge protestatarii din Piața Universității și să devasteze sediile opoziției urmașilor regimului lui Ceaușescu.

Azi, șocul e la fel de mare când văd reacțiile la crimele Rusiei de dincolo și dincoace de granița noastră.

Azi, bătrânul ăla e Aligică, iar minerul e Șoșoacă.

🔵 Reacția președintelui USR @DominicFritzTM după desemnarea de către președintele @NicusorDanRO a noului premier:

❝Din respect pentru președinte și cu responsabilitate pentru țară, vom sta de vorbă cu premierul desemnat Eugen Tomac, un președinte de partid și europarlamentar respectabil.

USR intră în discuție cu liniile clare pe care le-am decis. Nicio formulă cu PSD sau cu ce seamănă a PSD nu este acceptabilă.

Astăzi suntem convinși că formula care merită susținerea USR este un guvern care îi include pe miniștrii USR. Toți patru, Diana Buzoianu, Radu Miruţă, Oana Țoiu și Irineu Darău, au demonstrat curaj, competență și voință reală de reformă.

România a văzut cum arată miniștrii care fac treabă. Pentru a continua reformele începute este obligatoriu să existe voință și răspundere politică.

Oricât ar fi de bine intenționați miniștrii tehnocrați, fără asumare politică, un nou guvern nu va avea puterea să facă curățenia necesară.

I received a call today from the President of Estonia, Alar Karis, in the aftermath of the Russian drone incident that struck a building in Galați. I deeply appreciate the solidarity shown by our ally Estonia. President Karis also expressed his gratitude for the recent downing, in Estonia, of a drone by a Romanian pilot. As both our countries are directly exposed to threats generated by Russia's war against Ukraine, we have agreed to work closely together on drone defence projects, including within the EU and NATO frameworks. We also discussed the EU enlargement process, which both of us regard as strategically important. Romania will continue to strengthen its military capabilities to ensure a robust defence and deterrence posture on the Eastern Flank.

Izba Reprezentantów (kontrolowana przez Republikanów!) przegłosowała rezolucję zakazującą Trumpowi prowadzenia wojny bez zgody parlamentu.

Mało tego! I to jest absolutny nokaut dla polityki Trumpa. Kongresmeni skrzyknęli się ponad podziałami i za pomocą specjalnej procedury (omijając lojalnego wobec Trumpa Spikera) przegłosowali pchnięcie do przodu pakietu dla Ukrainy: ponad 1 miliard USD na obronę, 8 miliardów USD w pożyczkach i nowe sankcje na Rosję.
