@kermode One of horses in my barn contracted salmonella and is in the hospital. The bill will be astronomical for owners
But the barn is on lock down for 2 weeks and I won't be able to come see Nikki. The situation is scary. Possible cause is
abundance of geese

@kermode Chiki tries to destroy my new blinds. I dont blame him
I hung foil sheets and they deterred him from killing the blinds outright but he still did some damage.

@kermode Happy weekend! The summer started - it's muggy and very hot. I bought 'escape-proof' harness for Chiki and he bronked from it withing seconds. Today 2 new harnesses come for testing-the baby is heavy to carry and show him backyard :-)

@kermode On amazon there is bitter apple spray. It might discourage him to pick his paws. Poor pup

@kermode Did you look into dog pads? I think it is called tough like nails - similar with hooves' pads - they stick to dog's pads and protect them from the rough ground. If you want, I can try to find them on internet

@kermode I was counting days to get Chiki back into my fold. I am so relieved that he is OK. We love them. Everything they are happy about esp when they are older, make us happy. They are reflections of us.

@kermode Happy Friday! All is good. I was catching up on work the whole week. Nikki and Chiki who was back home only on Tue, are doing well. Boarding staff said that Chiki-san was scared but once settled very sweet

@kermode Poor Chiki was boarded today. 😓 Fly-proofed Nikki (i hope) and he doesn't not know that i won't come tomorrow. Brutal heat in MD next week. I want to be back with them already
