It took a while to actually get around to it (delays from being sick aside), but I finally finished up my #Splatoon3#Splatfest "recollection" video. Definitely the most effort I've put into a video before. Hope it's as fun to watch as it was to make!

No one can convince me that the time required to find, preheat, and clean a waffle iron is worth the effort to make one when I just spent 30 minutes cleaning one. Pancakes are so much easier to make and are clearly the superior breakfast food.

@SLOplays I seem to be in the minority, but not a fan of the change in singles. It was a low-key fun challenge taking out someone more powerful as a lower class character. Now that everyone does the same damage, the only "variety" is a skin.
@TheTrueElement "But I hate getting one shot by 5 bar meta characters"
Nah fam. That's part of the challenge. I get immense satisfaction soloing a fusion/MUI with the likes of Slug/Turles/Kid Trunks. There is nothing fun about everyone being on the same playing field when they shouldn't be.
It's wild how the majority of friendships and online connections I've made over the past ~8 years were primarily made because of mutual interest in games on this console.
It also remains the first (and only) mainline console I've had during its run as a "current gen" offering.
I highly recommend giving the game a try to see if it's your cup of tea. The game is on almost every platform from the past 20 years (barring Xbox/360 and Gamecube), and goes on sale quite frequently on more modern platforms, and consider giving the sequel a try when it's out.
Just over half a day removed from the #OkamiSequel announcement, being directed by Hideki Kamiya himself, under a new studio using a very similar name to the one Capcom closed 18 years ago, at #TheGameAwardsโฏโฏโฏ and it still doesn't feel real.
...and make a sequel to a critically acclaimed game that has become more widely known and loved over time with a remaster and several re-releases.
This man honestly came full circle with his own "Steve Jobs" moment. May not be to the same caliber, but man, is it awesome to see.
