@5EIKE@earth2io Very sad situation. I don't know both sides (if there is another side) but sadly the only way that things like this get fixed it with legal action being taken.
@MetaHomeLimited@5EIKE@earth2io "You need to weigh up how much essence you’ve taken out, consider the negativity towards the project and so on"
This has zero impact on @5EIKE consumer rights. You don't lose your rights because you voiced concerns about a company.
I can’t even begin to describe how heartbreaking this is for me. I have stood by @Earth2io since day one, giving my time, my passion, and my trust for four years as a MOD, working tirelessly to support this project and the community because I truly believed in it! And now, after all of that, the very company I defended is indirect villainizing me, refusing to even show a shred of proof for their claims, while keeping over $20,000 of my money without explanation……
How is this okay? How is this fair???? If they can do this to someone who gave so much, what does that mean for anyone else in this community? I don’t care how much we all love Earth2! No one should have to live in fear that their money could be taken from them at any moment, with no reason, no proof, and no recourse!
If Earth2 has a real reason to block my withdrawal, then they should prove it! Plain and simple!
If they can do this to me, they can do it to anyone. This isn’t just about me! It’s about all of us who put time, money and love into this! Ask yourselves, what would you do in my position? Honestly… It’s me VS a huge company just ignoring me while indirectly turning the entire community against me with subtile messages in regards to my situation! Don’t everyone see how this is wrong and how it can be abused! If we accept this as normal, then what happens when it’s your turn? This isn’t just hurting me personally… it’s hurting the entire community and the future of Earth2 itself!
We all deserve better than this! This can’t be allowed to happen to ANYONE!

@PhilipSchuerer@earth2io@theshaneisaac Yeh I saw, they seem to think that it's Troy's responsibility to give background on the breach.
As far as I know, he reports confirmed breaches, nothing beyond that, E2 seem to think that he's going to argue their case for 'why' there was a breach.
New breach: Earth 2 had 421k email addresses derived from embedded Gravatar images exposed last month. The data appeared alongside usernames from the service. 73% were already in @haveibeenpwned https://t.co/LGaAniKeSA
@earth2io@haveibeenpwned Shifting any blame to Gravatar is astonishing.
Earth 2 is the data controller, you collected the data and it's your responsibility to ensure its security.
@dellsane It's their discord, so they can do whatever they like. The mutes themselves give more insight into E2 than the comment that was removed and the person muted.
@imlukereed It's hard to make a comparison to anything as we know so little about the plans for any actual gameplay.
It's still offering the 'everything for everyone' promise, which can only last so long.
When I look at Star Atlas & Wilder etc, their offering is so much clearer to see.
Would love to see this level of insight and transparency with E2.
I'm not a follower of Wilder World but can completely get their goals and progress after reading this and earlier blogs. I'm not sure anyone can say the same for E2, which is a real shame and a missed opportunity
@MetaHomeLimited Appreciate your view point, thanks for sharing it. I think that this is just something that we'll have to disagree on for the time being.
Time will tell how it plays out, hoping that it's positive and this does turn out to be a good decision by E2.
What am I misunderstanding here?
Shane has said that giving players ESS from the treasury and then going to buy back that ESS from the exchange is some kind of double whammy?
Did he forget that he gets to keep the FIAT that's being withdrawn?
@ItsGGNameless Absolutely, the land ownership is common knowledge for sure.
He's certainly implying something, my assumption is the buying of ESS or adding to the LP.
I just hope that he's not taking unnecessary risks under the guise of support.
What does this mean from Shane?
They're "supporting the token in their own way," but he's unable to comment on it?
What's stopping him from commenting on it? The concern that what they might be doing isn't permitted in some way?
Shane hopped in #Earth2 discord a while ago to comment on the concerns around using $ESS for pending Fiat E$ withdrawals (proposed as a temporary alternative solution)
He emphasized that the solution has not been yet deployed and that the current drop in $ESS is due to the sharp fall in overall crypto market since the main LP for Essence is linked to $ETH.
He also stated that the proposed solution has been well thought out and the best among multiple alternatives considered.
@pp220622 Hi Patrick, I'm not entirely sure what you mean. Are you asking why do I think that using Treasury ESS in place of fiat withdrawals is a bad idea?
@XCyberCorp 5/ It reduces regulatory risks, as it involves transparent, market-based transactions rather than off-market trades that could be viewed as manipulative.
@XCyberCorp 3/ Buying from a DEX rather than using Treasury his supports the token's price by increasing demand, which can help stabilise or even boost the token’s value.
4/ It maintains or improves market liquidity, benefiting all participants by ensuring a balanced LP
@XCyberCorp The double whammy thay he implied was that buying the ESS via an exchange rather than using the Treasury ESS, somehow made the Treasury ESS have zero value.
@AustinHolmes360@RobinIArgh The impact exists, then by not disclosing it, it could be seen as market manipulation.
When it comes to web 3, transparency always wins. It's why web 3 companies publicise buybacks to their holders.
