We have sedated CEDAR for some key operational upgrades today, our apologies for the inconvenience. It will be back better than ever later today (Wednesday).
We're creating new capabilities using CEDAR, the semantically rich metadata tool/framework/specification. See our new paper
Modeling community standards for metadata as templates makes data FAIR (https://t.co/fHzYsKTvFJ) to see what we've already started improving!
Loved all the #us2ts2022 plenary talks (and had fun giving mine!), but best of all was the Food and Nutrition vision that @mateolan and co-presenters shared. It isn't (just) about ontologies, it's about saving the planet and our lives! Well, at least improving them. Awesome.
#us2ts2022 exceeded all my (John G's) expectations. so much interesting exchange by so few attendees! The last wrap-up discussion holds a lot of promise for growing the US2TS brand.
@us2ts@StanfordMed Blast from the past! Looking forward to giving a keynote to #us2ts this Saturday. I'm hoping for fun|useful !annoying, but you never know.
@CarloSchuengel@bioontology Hi @CarloSchuengel Tx for your note. Sorry, no support on twitter yet! Other than brief outages of BioPortal, we only see connection problems if the template got corrupted or named ontology branch has 'disappeared'. Please email [email protected] for open issues.
Thanks to the GO FAIR Foundation @GOFAIRofficial for all the support they've been generating for CEDAR @metadatacenter and BioPortal @bioontology. They have been leading the workshops like those hosted by ZonMw in the article. Up to 21 and counting! On to @gofairus
Probably I should have tweeted this first from @metadatacenter. Because that's the first priority for our to-be-hired UI/UX senior SW Developer. Please consider working on these fun and impactful projects at Stanford University.
Stanford's Center for Biomedical Informatics (BMIR)—creator of CEDAR, BioPortal, and Protégé—have an opening for a UI/UX developer. Yes, we're working on improving our user experience! Apply at https://t.co/HAiQaVYm27
@JudithRosmalen Regarding the help desk, you have made a key point. Our team has been using this help desk model for more years than I know (15?), but we need to look at how to do more in the current days of world-wide scope and on-line privacy needs. Thanks for your feedback.
@JudithRosmalen Hello and sorry for your trouble @JudithRosmalen . I see you were able to get on to your account despite the difficulty we have occasionally had with European accounts, we continue to try to troubleshoot that issue.
So excited to go to the #VODANA kick-off demonstration showing off CEDAR and the internal dashboards. Even at 5am it is all very impressive. @metadatacenter@ncbo
A new collaboration between #metadatagamechangers, @datadryad, and @metadatacenter to improve disciplinary metadata and connections between Dryad and domain repositories. https://t.co/5rxq0oXg4b
Nice to get a CEDAR mention in "Ten simple rules for annotating sequencing experiments" (Irene Stevens et al) https://t.co/rK8WbqN9Ch. (Of course, we also think CEDAR is good for complex models...)
Since it helps CEDAR/BioPortal pipelines so much, have to promo this promo of @nvasiljevic83 and #skosplay (thanks Thomas!): Fair Data Collective is doing cool things with SKOS Play and xls2rdf @ncbo https://t.co/PGPXcnA3CR
🚨#OpenResearch News🔓We are delighted to announce our partnership with the Stanford Center for Biomedical Informatics Research (@metadatacenter) on the FAIRware project, a new initiative to make the #FAIRprinciples work for everyone⚙️Read more: https://t.co/hjDJt88z1X #FAIRdata
