Q: Is there a point where you thought, ‘Maybe I should give up on this’ (Dangote Refinery)?

Dangote: Turning back was not an option, they were looting $10 billion every year because it was a subsidy. People were just writing numbers, the government was busy paying and sweating, but we came and disrupted everything. We fought them hard, they saw that we have succeeded, so now things have calmed down. Of course, we still have little flies that will come and try to disturb us.

Dangote: If I’m going to make my continent great and people want to call me a monopoly for no reason, so be it. If you say there is a 100-meter race and some people are on the bench, I’m on track and agree to run that race and win that race alone. Are you going to blame me, or are you going to blame people who just sat on the bench?
