Today, a group of interested students from Methacton High School and Arcola Middle School stepped out of the classroom and into the boots of local heroes at the Lower Providence Fire Department!
This field trip gave Methacton students in grades 8–12 a hands-on look at what it takes to protect our community. Students got right into the action—flowing hose lines, forcing entry, and utilizing rescue airbags! This was a great experience for students to learn real-world life skills, leadership and community pride.
A massive thank you to the Lower Providence Fire Department, the Worcester Volunteer Fire Department, and Methacton's K-12 Career Counselor Shab Maffei for organizing such an inspiring and impactful day!
