UAE domestic transfers can already take seconds through Aani.
At Dubai’s recent BIT Summit, AI and subscription pricing were on the remittance agenda.
I’m curious how these ideas will change the cost and experience of sending money abroad.

🏙️ Thinking of starting a property inspection business in Dubai?
With Dubai’s real estate market recording ~226,000 transactions worth AED 761B in 2024, property inspection and snagging services are worth exploring.
🔎 Key points:
• Meydan Free Zone activity 6820.95: Property Inspection Services
• RERA pre-approval required
• Additional licences may apply to repair work, valuation or brokerage
• Confirm activity and compliance requirements before applying

Dubai keeps opening new restaurants, but how many quietly disappear?
The interesting part isn’t just the number of openings. It’s how quickly new competition keeps entering the market.
For investors, the real question may be:
Can you recover your investment before the market changes?
Dubai’s commercial market may be becoming increasingly development-led.
The question now: Will this momentum continue through H2 2026?
I have wrote more details here!

🏢 Nearly half of Dubai’s commercial property deals
are now off-plan.
Engel & Völkers reports that 48.3% of commercial transactions in H1 2026 were off-plan.
📊 3,123 off-plan deals
💰 AED 17.04B in value
🏙️ AED 13.1B came from offices
📍 Business Bay led with AED 6.77B
But there’s an important distinction:
Off-plan = 48.3% of transactions, but only about
27.4% of total commercial sales value.

Dubai is starting to make shared accommodation a more formal part of the housing market.
The fact that villas are included is especially interesting 👀
Could be another shift in how residential properties are used here.
Interesting move by the UAE.
Stricter limits on salt, sugar and fat in packaged foods, with fines up to AED 500,000.
Curious to see how much supermarket products actually change because of this.
One thing Dubai does well is move quickly from discussion to real world testing.
Tokenization is starting to look less like a distant idea and more like something being actively built into the financial system.
🇦🇪 Dubai is pushing the tokenized asset narrative pretty hard.
Government officials, regulators and finance leaders met at the inaugural Digital Assets Leadership Forum to discuss bringing stocks, funds and sukuk onchain.
The focus is on scaling adoption and bringing more of traditional finance onchain.
While the US & EU fights over CLARITY, the UAE is clear on one thing...
It wants that capital.
Dubai already has so many great malls, but Dubai Hills Mall is probably my favorite 🛍️
It’s big, but somehow still feels easier and more relaxed than some of the others.
Which mall is your favorite in Dubai?
Dubai already has so many major malls, so why build another one? 👀
I looked into Skylight Mall and what it could mean for Dubai’s future growth, not just as a shopping destination, but from a real estate and urban development perspective.
Dubai Retail, under Dubai Holding Asset Management, unveils Skylight Mall, a new super-regional destination set to open in 2027 on Al Khail Road. Spanning 1.3 million sq. ft. of gross leasable area (GLA), the mall will feature more than 360 stores, making it the latest addition to Dubai Retail’s growing portfolio of 58 malls and lifestyle destinations across the emirate.
The UAE also moved up to #12 globally for innovation inputs.

For entrepreneurs and investors, that #1 ranking for startup & scaleup finance is particularly interesting.
A ranking doesn’t tell the whole story — licensing, banking, ownership and residency still depend on
your specific situation.
But this is a milestone worth watching.
