i know hes not a genius as he claims, hes just a good salesman at getting folks to give him money. Tesla was manufacturing electric cars before Elon showed up and bought the company with money his father gave him. Elons salesman and promotion skills is what grew the company, not his intellect. For example the only vehicle he was involved with designing from scratch was that Butt ugly, poorly designed, cheaply made junk. To his credit he convinced people to pay over $100,000 for an almost disposable car.

We lived in a brand new home built in 1967. We didnt have Air Conditioning until the early to mid 70's
Thats when my Dad bought a window unit air conditioner.
The Summer heat was never a problem and no one really complained about it because it was Nature and Summer has been HOT since the dawn of time.
Air Conditioning gave us an alternative we could compare the heat to. Cooler inside suddenly made the heat outside feel much HOTTER.
