AI agents are everywhere. Very few earn a living.

Metis has officially launched the Metis Rise Agent Builder Program, rewarding new agents on the Andromeda Mainnet who bring real users and real on-chain activity. https://t.co/5WsPjuGyNT

Final Call📢

[Metis🌿 @MetisL2]

1/ @LayerZero_Core Labs’ default DVN and Executor will stop serving Metis Andromeda on Oct 30.
Any OApp or OFT still relying on them for a Metis pathway will stop verifying and executing messages that day.

Here’s what devs need to know 🧵

[Metis🌿 @MetisL2]

Thank you, @BD_GemX, for helping put Metis Rise in front of more builders. The program counts an agent by what it does: real users transacting with it on Andromeda Mainnet, not just a launch.
Applications are rolling.

[BD GemX @BD_GemX]

💥💥BD GemX is proud to support Metis Rise, a new incentive program organized by Metis, with ClawUp, GOAT Network and LazAI as ecosystem partners, empowering builders to turn AI Agents into real economic participants.

AI Agents are everywhere, but building agents that can transact, establish verifiable identities, earn trust and generate real economic activity remains a major challenge.
@MetisL2 Rise aims to bridge this gap by supporting new AI Agent projects deployed on Metis Andromeda Mainnet, where agents can operate, transact, and build real on-chain value.

Program Highlights:
🗓Duration: 3-month pilot program
🎯Network: Metis Andromeda Mainnet
👥Eligibility: Open to all builders developing and deploying new AI Agent projects
📊Monthly Requirements: At least 15 valid monthly active users, with qualifying user activity and on-chain execution on Metis Andromeda Mainnet.

🏆Monthly Rewards:
🥇1st Place: $800
🥈2nd Place: $450
🥉3rd Place: $250
💰Maximum monthly reward pool: $1,500, paid in METIS or stablecoins.

👉Applications are open on a rolling basis. Applications submitted in one month enter the following month's ranking cycle, giving each participant a fair 30-day window.

The bar is simple: 15+ valid users a month on Andromeda Mainnet.

Metis Rise pays $1,500 every month. Not a one-off prize. Top 3 split it: $800 / $450 / $250. One qualifier takes all $800.
Any framework or host. 3-month pilot, rolling applications.

Metis Rise accepts applications on a rolling basis. You can apply at any time.

But your agent's tracking doesn't start the day you apply. Here's how the monthly cycle works 👇

[Metis🌿 @MetisL2]

3/
Rewards are set by the leaderboard results at the end of the month.

On the 1st of the next month, the statistics reset, and a new tracking cycle begins. Every month is a fresh start.

As agents take on more work, how do they pay for services across company boundaries?

Scoped spending permissions, usage-based payments, and verifiable settlement are worth building into the agent stack early.

[Amjad Masad @amasad]

For centuries, the architecture of the firm has barely changed: hierarchies of people organized into departments and coordinated through bureaucracy.

AI agents are about to upend that.

We’re moving toward the self-driving company where humans exercise judgment and agents execute most of the work.

At Replit, we’re building the foundation for this new kind of company. We’re calling it “the Agent Habitat.”

Marc Andreessen wrote a fantastic piece placing this shift in the history of computing. Every major computing revolution began with chaos before businesses figured out how to harness it.

Stay safe! Several people recently reported they received HR emails supposedly from Metis team. We don't solicit candidates by email. All open positions are published at our https://t.co/cVQWrC9ndz website. We don't have any "secret" positions. We don't have any xyz or other websites.

[Metis🌿 @MetisL2]

A facilitator verifies a signed payment, then settles it.
In the x402 exact-EVM spec, none of the listed verification steps use the resource URL or description.

But the payload it receives can still carry both as optional fields.
Data minimization starts at the payload.

Security notice⚠️: phishing emails impersonating Metis are in circulation.

Metis does not solicit individuals by email. Do not click links or connect your wallet in response to such messages.
If unsure, review the email with an AI assistant and verify through our official channels.

AI Agents need to think about data minimization when making payments.

In x402 v2, facilitators receive payment payloads and requirements for verification and settlement. What an agent includes in its payload matters, too.

Minimize what you disclose. Verify what each integration actually sends.
