Our final episode in our Invisible Thread social series could not have ended in a better way. 💙
Ciara found herself in our subway ads, highlighting exactly what MetroPlusHealth is all about: putting New Yorkers at the core of everything we do.
New Yorkers are what make this city so special, and we’re always looking for ways to strengthen and support our community.
Now, New York, we’re turning it back to you to continue the thread of care. 🧵❤️
What’s one of your ‘first’ experiences with your child you’ll never forget? ⚽️💙
For Jean, it was taking his son to their very first soccer game at @newyorkcityfc Kids Day presented by MetroPlusHealth, with content by @TheDadGang.
As both a dad and a licensed therapist, Jean understands how important it is to have access to health care that supports not just individuals, but entire families and communities. Because health care is more than appointments — it’s about feeling supported every step of the way.
Kids who watched the Knicks’ last Finals run are now bringing their own families to MSG. 🧡 💙
That’s what makes this moment bigger than basketball. It’s about New York, community, and generations of fans coming together again.
MetroPlusHealth is proud to be part of this city every step of the way. 🗽
We were proud to sponsor the Spanish Speaking Elderly Council – RAICES 48th Anniversary Gala on May 14, joining community partners to celebrate the organization’s longstanding impact in supporting New York City’s aging population.👏
The evening brought together community leaders, advocates, and supporters for a meaningful program highlighting the year’s accomplishments and the collective work to empower older adults across the city. Special thanks to Tiffany Smith, Medicare Administrative Assistant, for representing MetroPlusHealth at the event!
We’re reaching the final episodes of our Invisible Thread series, but one thing's for sure: New Yorkers know how to keep care alive. 🧵❤️
Rosdaly shares what that looks like as a parent — care is seen in moments like the neighbor who opens their door when you’re locked out, the teacher who pours love into your kids every day, the crossing guard who helps everyone get home safe, the after-school treat lady, and the parent friend who always steps in when you’re running late.
At MetroPlusHealth, community care means making affordable healthcare accessible so New Yorkers can continue showing up for one another.
👀 Any guesses who will be featured in our last episode? Follow along to find out.
Today the NYC Board of Health unanimously passed a resolution condemning federal attacks on public health insurance coverage, urging the protection of Medicaid, and directing the Health Department to develop and carry out a plan to support New Yorkers' access to affordable care.
We had a wonderful time celebrating everyone's pets at our Church Avenue and Brighton Beach community offices! Council Member Rita Joseph was at our Church Avenue location where Flatbush Cats provided free dog and cat food and promoted free services offered through their vet clinic while Raw Dawg offered complimentary pet food at our Brighton Beach office. It was great meeting everyone's furry friends! 🐕🐈
🕯️✨ In this next episode of our Invisible Thread series, we partnered with Claudia Mendoza (@chulaincharge).
💬 She shared how her community continues to show up for one another through friendship, mutual support, and intentional care, a reminder that when New Yorkers have access to affordable care and a strong community, it becomes easier to thrive together.
❤️ We’d love to hear from you: What’s a moment when a fellow New Yorker showed up for you when you needed it most? Follow @MetroPlusHealth to keep the thread going.
👀 Stay tuned for the next episode.
In this next episode of our Invisible Thread series, we partner with Cristian, co-founder of Nose Best Candles (@nosebestcandles), a Brooklyn-based brand known for creating scents inspired by the energy, culture, and lived experiences of New York City.
Together, we created City Glow, a candle and physical representation of the invisible thread that connects New Yorkers through care, community, and showing up for one another.
Share a moment when a New Yorker showed up for you in an unexpected way, and follow @MetroPlusHealth to watch the thread continue 〰️
