It was fantastic to be in Parliament last night with our President Jill Scott MBE to discuss the huge importance of protecting parks, playing fields and green spaces for local communities and the threats posed by the Government’s proposed planning reforms.
MENINGITIS B UPDATE FROM KCL:
If you have any concerns regarding the current meningitis B outbreak in Canterbury.
Please contact the league before making any decisions regarding your fixtures. This will allow us to review on a case-by-case basis and provide the appropriate guidance.
The latest guidance from UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) is outlined below:
The UKHSA is not advising cancellation of sporting fixtures. However, it is the organisers’ responsibility to do their own risk assessment.
You may want to consider cancelling/postponing, especially if the event involves indoor, high-intensity, or close-contact activities.
Anyone feeling unwell should not attend, and avoidance of sharing water bottles etc plus enhanced hygiene measures is advisable.
