The entrance to the Chozo Ruins on planet Tallon IV is a dilapidated area with pillars so heavily eroded their age cannot be determined via carbon dating. Sand has made its way across the ground that Beetles call home. Not all of the history of this area is lost to time, however.
The Chozo Ice Temple, referred to as the Western Temple by Space Pirates, is an abandoned and ancient Chozo building located within Phendrana Drifts on planet Tallon IV. There are numerous Chozo shrines and statues that decorate the temple, one of which shields a Chozo Artifact.
Nightmare was a biomechanical organism that was created in secret by the Galactic Federation. It possessed gravity manipulation abilities and its faceplate could be shattered to reveal a disturbing six-eyed face. When attacked, this face would start melting out of its shell.
Flaahgra was a mutant plant that was the source of toxic water within the Chozo Ruins on planet Tallon IV. Flaahgra's growth cycle was radically accelerated. As a result, it requires near-constant exposure to solar energy. This has made Flaahgra's outer shell thick and durable.
Tallon IV, located within the same solar system as Zebes, is a utopia for biological life, containing an oxygen-rich and hospitable atmosphere. This utopia was threatened when a Leviathan impacted the planet, leaving a Great Poison. Samus saved Tallon IV from this corruption.
The Carrier is a type of ship within the Galactic Federation Navy that stores and deploys smaller spacecraft, commonly the Stiletto-class fighters. Only seen in orbit around planet Norion, it played a vital role in the planet's defence during the Space Pirate's surprise attack.
Aboard the derelict Space Pirate Frigate Orpheon, Samus Aran encountered a resurrected form of her nemesis, Ridley. Cybernetically enhanced and dubbed "Meta Ridley," he would spring to life and flee the self-destructing ship, with Samus in hot pursuit down onto planet Tallon IV.
Ferenia was once an ancient Chozo sanctuary on planet ZDR. The Mawkin Chozo tribe conducted ceremonies and rituals here. It became a hive for the X once they arrived on the planet, leaving it in ruin. Frescos dress the halls in Ferenia, indicating the history of the Mawkin.
After the Thoha Massacre on planet SR388, the Mawkin Chozo tribe returned to their homeworld, planet ZDR. Upon returning, it was revealed that there was a stowaway aboard the vessel they had used; a Chozo Warrior infected by an X-Parasite, causing the collapse of the tribe.
If the Space Jump ability is also in use, the Screw Attack can be used repeatedly as Samus jumps several times in the air. There are also some terrain that Samus can use the Screw Attack to jump off of to gain access to out of reach areas, performing a Wall Jump.

The Screw Attack is a deadly upgrade to Samus' arsenal, giving her a ball of energy that surrounds her body as she performs a spin jump. This assures almost total invincibility when colliding with bioforms and certain terrain, leaving them destroyed in her path.

Dark Samus is the Metroid Prime that Samus encountered on planet Tallon IV. It stole Samus' Power Suit and wears it itself, fusing Samus' genetic material with its own. Now Dark Samus, she hunts for Phazon and encounters Samus frequently, ultimately meeting her demise.

Metroid Prime was the source of the Phazon on Tallon IV, making it very powerful. The exoskeleton is virtually impenetrable, but a genetic flaw makes it susceptible to certain weapons for brief periods. Its strength and barbed carapace make it lethal in melee combat.

The core of Metroid Prime. It can manipulate its body to become invisible to many visual sensors, creating Metroids. It is invulnerable to all conventional weapons, only attacks from a Phazon-fused Arm Cannon will damage it. Metroid Prime is a heavily mutated Metroid.

The Spider Magnet allows Samus to attach to blue magnetic strips on walls and ceilings. This is akin to the magnetic variant of the Spider Ball and its tracks, only the Spider Magnet allows Samus to fire her arm cannon and move while in her bipedal form during use.
