Penny Wong has said "Let's remember why we bought the tarrif walls down in our country"
Yes, but was it for cheaper products for Australians?
One result was we no longer have a car manufacturing business.
In fact we are the testing ground for every new car made overseas.
Yes cheaper cars, but substantially less heavy maufacturing capacity and employment of Australians.
There are consequences, good and bad.
Maybe time to discuss where Australia might be in 10 or 50 years time.
Everything seems to be about today not tomorrow

The @VictorianLabor smart meter monopoly continues to negatively impact Victorian energy users.
How?
Private companies have the technology to deploy public EV chargers but not the legal authority.
Distribution businesses have the legal authority but not the technology.
#Catch22
Very disappointed to learn of @NSWLabor’s plan to grant @Ausgrid@essentialenergy & @endeavourenergy exclusive rights to rollout public EV Chargers across NSW.
This is what @VictorianLabor did with Smart Meters & it remains a disaster.
I implore the NSW State Govt to reconsider.
Why on earth does population expansionism remain a locked-in, never to be questioned agenda?
When in fact, it is the root cause of almost every major problem we face.
